Demar is going to be 35 this off season and at the tail end of his prime. This will likely be his last contract. Where does he go?

OKC? Orlando? Philly ?

Dont know what the kings salary situation looks like but he would look good there as a number 2...

Chicago probably gives him big money for 2 years and an option and he sticks around.

Back to Spurs would be cool, he'd fit in there with his playmaking

I was wondering about that-DDR's a great guy and headed to the HoF. Not a superstar and he's had issues in the clutch but he just lead the league in minutes in season #15-very impressive

I think Chicago should be ready to let him walk… but they will give him a big 3yr100-110 million deal? 37/34/31 type contract with some decimal points?

I’d like him in Utah though. Collins+first for Demar is a deal both sides should do. Utah can trade for Murray, not impact their picks with any real variance and at least feel confident making the play-in next season… Better to tank, but just an option.

Presti giving Demar FVV’s contract and then trading Giddey… Don’t think Demar is on the top of the need list, but just seems fun to upgrade Giddey, while getting paid for Giddey..

If Dallas wasn’t in such pick debt, I think a THJ+Maxi+first for Demar sign and trade would be pretty interesting. Not perfect, but would be nice to always have two of them on the court..

I think you are right. I think Chicago shouldn’t do that but I bet they do.

Crazy that 34 year old Derozen led the league in MPG this season.

I think the Sixers will target Derozen.

16 teams left, watch to see how the 4 in the conference finals sort out.

His suitors will be the teams that lost in the 5-16 group. Which of those feels that they need scoring, NO not the stretch the floor 3 point shooter because DeRozan isn't that. Which team thinks they have those stretch role players but feels that they need that 20-26 points per game, the guy who gets them off to a good start in the 1st and finishes strong in the 4th quarters, gets to the free throw line a lot.

The Bulls have no use for an Andrew Wiggins, or Chris Paul or some other highly paid discharge not the guys who look great when surrounded by excellent teammates. At worst they take a didn't measure up kid and a pick or 4 2nds. Otherwise let him go and see how they could use the cap space

Now jayjaysee has the right idea, Utah and a John Collins swap. Collins is an actual tall PF which the Bulls haven't had for a long time. He allows them to bring back Patrick Williams and have him play the SF where he's never gotten a chance. Collins is in the age range with the much improved Coby White and Ayo Dosunmu and with Williams builds a core group.

I think DeRozen has 2 possible futures, regardless of team. He could either be (1) a killer 6th-man on a contender, or (2) a culture setter on a young team.

Option 1 would likely mean ring-chasing, and his salary would probably top out around the NTMLE

Options 2 could get him paid pretty handsomely. I'd love him on the Pistons as a culture setter, and we could easily afford to overpay him on a near-max 2 year deal.

If Toronto keeps their pick, does a homecoming make any sense? I think they can play with big cap space before paying IQ, have some easy to dump money (Boucher/McDaniels) if needed... Probably sign and trade options with Brown going to a third team.. Would just be a bloated 2 year deal, but not sure about adding salary to 2025 season though.

Not Toronto necessarily, but would Demar take 1yr49 mil? Bank on himself to still get a 2yr40-50 a year in 12 months but get the extra money this year and a team takes very little risk..

He'll "replace" George in LA because he'll accept less than the max. Draw up some awkward 3-way S&T scenario.

I don't see George leaving the Clippers

Maybe cut out the Clippers and just a 2 team sign and trade?

I could see it going either way tbh. A lot may come down to how this series against Dallas unfolds.
