SAC - WAS
------------------------------------------------------
SAC Gets: Deni Avdija & #26
SAC Gives: Kevin Huerter, #13, & 2025 POR 2nd
Why for SAC? The Kings upgrade their starting PF spot with a guy who will be 23 next season and locked up on a good declining deal for the next 4 seasons. Avdija can still space the floor a bit (although not was well as Barnes) but he brings much more rebounding, defense, and secondary passing/playmaking. They also retain a late 1st rounder to give them a chance at adding a cheap rotational piece that could come in handy when Fox, Murray, Monk, etc. are all on new deals.
PG - Fox / Mitchell
SG - Ellis / Monk* / Duarte / Jones
SF - Murray / Barnes
PF - Avdija / Lyles / Vezenkov
C - Sabonis
Picks - #26 / #45
*Resigned
------------------------------------------------------
WAS Gets: Kevin Huerter, #13, & 2025 POR 2nd
WAS Gives: Deni Avdija & #26
Why for WAS? The Wizards desperately need star talent. Avdija is a solid young forward but I don’t see him having star potential. Instead they cash in and add another lottery pick this year to give them another chance at striking gold. They also get the 2025 POR 2nd which projects to be an early 2nd in a good draft and Huerter who could be a nice reclamation project for them to flip down the line.
PG - Poole / Butler
SG - Huerter / Shamet / Davis
SF - Coulibaly / Kispert / Omoruyi
PF - Kuzma / Baldwin
C - Bagley / Holmes / Vukcevic
Picks - #2 / #13

Hell, resounding NO.
The Wizards are not trading one of the MIPs in the league to go up from #26 to #13 in a weak draft.
Kuzma, on the other hand, could be in a conversation…but I see the Wiz front office not willing to offer #26 and just willing to trade Kuzma for Huerter + #13.

Deni is young and locked up. Washington needs to keep all the young talent they can find. Unless its an overpay I dont see them moving him

I think this needs another first and letting Washington keep their late first.. And using Mitchell and Duarte as salary filler.. and that’s still not enough.

Re: SAC - WAS
I think #13 for Deni makes some sense but my inkling is Washington prefers to hang onto their guy here. Deni had an outstanding year and better than the expected value of #13 while still maintaining some untapped upside.

This is pretty bad for Washington. Deni has proven to be solid on both ends. Huerter is not good value and the 13th pick in this draft is meh

Re: SAC - WAS
It's not going to happen. The Wizards aren't trading Avdija. Nobody trades a two-way player this young and this good who is still on the upswing of his improvement arc with an undetermined ceiling.
Over the last 50 games this season, Avdija averaged 19.3 points, 9.5 boards and 3.9 assists per 36 on a .604 TS% with being a plus defender. Over the final 30 games he posted those numbers as per game averages (because he was actually getting 35 minutes). Oh yeah, and his +/- over this time frame was just -1.2 per 100 possessions. So when he was on the court, the hapless Wizards played like a 37-win team. When he was off the court, they were the worst team in the league by a landslide.
Compare his production since February 8th to the production of three other All-Star forwards this season:
D.Avdija: 19.3 points, 9.5 rebounds, 3.9 assists, .604 TS%
Player A: 19.9 points, 8.2 rebounds, 6.1 assists, .566 TS%
Player B: 22.2 points, 6.9 rebounds, 5.4 assists, .545 TS%
Player C: 23.0 points, 5.5 rebounds, 3.6 assists, .580 TS%

I might do that trade if it's Kuzma in place of Deni, and the Wizards send the #51 pick instead of the #26 pick.

Might trade Kuzma for this package? What are we talking about here? I don't know that I'd trade Huerter alone for Kuzma, I sure as hell don't want to include #13.
Understand wizards saying no to OP, but I don't think it's that far off. Wizards are in year 0 of a 3-4 year rebuild, not a single foundational piece on that team. Deni isn't a guy I build a team around.

He is 23? Why not? They're certainly not going to just give him away for the #13 pick. The guy just posted All-Star numbers over the 2nd half of the season.
I wouldn't trade him for the #1 pick in this draft given that his next contract is roughly the same size as a rookie contract.

This is laughably bad for the Wizards. I can't believe there's a poll option on "who wins this trade."
Huerter is literally a throw in, so you want Deni and the #26 for #13 in a historically bad draft. I'll let you in on something...the Wizards might not trade Deni for the #1 pick in this draft. That's how Good Deni is and how bad this draft is.
If the Kings wanted Deni, for me it starts with Murray and #13. Then maybe I would think about it.

Fun fact: Deni is younger than Murray AND better.
Would Sacramento trade Murray for #13/Kuzma?

Any guy in the NBA who is at all capable can outing”all-star” numbers in max minutes in a garbage team.
I don’t like this trade. The warped views of the side to the side, it’s not balanced.

This is false.
Lots of NBA players may be able to post big numbers with bad efficiency and bad defense, but Avdija is posting big numbers with good efficiency, good defense and a significantly positive on/off differential.
He is a really good player.

I agree, very warped views here.
One player is better than Keegan Murray yet being treated like he is far worse.

Obvious yes for us but seems to be an easy pass for the Wizards especially with how bad this draft is. Even in a deeper draft I doubt the 13 slot move makes it worth it for them.

Agreed, but how about Kuzma + 51 for Barnes +13?
SAC have been rumored to like Kuzma for a while...and a Fox/Huerter (or Monk)/Murray/Kuzma/Sabonis starting 5 may have better odds of fighting for playoff berth next season.

I personally wouldn't go anywhere near it (probably at the bottom of Kuzma fans). I think the Kings FO would consider it if that pick downgrade was a fair bit better though.
Would think the #51 comes out and #26 added and #45 from the Kings' side.
Kuzma/26 for Barnes/13/45
