Value difference Ball and Vassell

Post#1 » by louc1970 » Sat Apr 27, 2024 9:46 pm

What is the value difference in draft picks between Melo Ball and Vassell?
Would a trade swapping the 2 plus SAS adding 2 FRPs be worth the trade?
Charlotte could choose 1 from 24 and 25 or if the Toronto pick conveys, take both this year.

Would think it needs a third team to tell the difference, but I think it’s a few firsts

Charlotte would be bottoming out around Williams/Miller and people that haven’t played in NBA. No reason to tie themselves to Vassell’s contract.

Straight up? Sure. But I would take the picks and Vassell, value or not. I've said before I'm not a fan of paying a lot of assets and salary to get young co-star for Wemby. I'd obviously love the team to draft one, but I'd prefer the co-star to be a vet who could show Wemby, Vassell and the other young guys how to win.

Not really a Lamelo fan at all, and even less after his extremely poor availability the last couple of seasons. Would much rather the Spurs pick a PG in this draft of the several available (Dlllingham, Sheppard, Topic, Collier, etc)
