I don't think anyone has hit the right team for a Durant trade yet.
To me, it's New Orleans.

Both teams you could argue need to mix things up after disappointing playoff appearances. The Suns need to spread out some salaries, while the Pelicans could benefit from a consolidation trade.

Durant could fetch a player haul of CJ, Nance, Murphy, plus whatever picks. Or perhaps Ingram, Nance, Daniels, something like that.

Suns aren’t trading KD or Booker. Can’t trade Beal. Especially not trading KD for the 1st package. Ingram package does not move the needle for the Suns. He needs an extension where he will be overpaid.

I guess. This year 2nd apron teams were allowed to take back up to 110% of what they sent. So in this scenario, Nurkic is enough to match White on that. And then for the rule about not taking back more salary, they're sending the minimum out. But not sure the rules should be looked at separate.

If you are using this year's salary then Boston cant match Brown for Booker since theres a greater than 110% difference between them..

Also, Jaylen can’t be traded until July 26, so it has to be next years salary. And Phoenix can’t agggregate. And Phoenix can’t add salary in any part of the trade (dealing one guy for one guy and another guy for the other guy), regardless of total salary after multiple,e guys would have otherwise been aggregated.

Curious which team is giving up a starting forward for Nurkic for free? Also really don't think Boston should break what isn't broken.

The idea for BOS would be if they continue to flounder in crunch time offense and think Booker can address it. But yeah, very unlikely.

I said that picks would need to be included to balance. In theory, BOS owes picks for the Brown/Booker swap but PHX owes them for White/Nurkic. So they'd have to find some combo that goes to a third team in the "side deal" part.

Losing Allen was big because Vogel defense relies on that POA defender. THey had no depth to replace him.

Knicks would have to see KD as a nice win-now upgrade. More than media hype would anyway.

Suns break KD down into two pieces. Plus can trade Nurkic salary plus little draft capital (own + Knicks) they now have for a PG.

I think this trade makes sense. Knicks have two picks in this year's draft, Phoenix should grab one of them, keep the pick they have now and just build out the depth.

Nurk can probably be flipped for something like DFS and a couple of second rounders. Booker/Beal/Allen/Randle/Robinson is not a bad starting 5. You get DFS and both first rounders as bench pieces, and maybe bring back a couple of their min guys to round out depth. It's not going to win a championship, but at the very least you become 6-7 deep.

No Trade is a problem but maybe Beal accepts to go to Portland to team up with Scoot+Jerami and Ayton. Brogdon + Robert Williams + Thybulle.

Why would Portland consider such a deal? Beal just gets in the way of Sharpe, makes their tax issues worse and continues to be overpaid for several extra seasons.

You need to find some overpaid (but hopefully still with some on-court value) players on a team that would value Beal on-court at least a little bit.
