Zion + Murphy + LNJ + #21

FOR

Miller + Mark Williams + Bertans + #3

Sell expiring Ingram to highest bidder.

Williams
Herb
Miller
McCollum (kept for now because of negative value)
Daniels
Plus #3, probably guard who plays off Daniels best and takes over for McCollum.

Hornets fan here.

I would only trade Brandon Miller for 3 players Jokic/Ant/Luka.

Not a chance we trade Miller he's going to be the best to ever lace em up as a Hornet.

I get you should love Miller but to say he wouldn't get Wembanyama, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander or Antetokounmpo is crazy or Banchero. There's probably 5-10 more names I could add.

I think Charlotte is overpaying a bit because you can't count on Zion to be healthy but I can see the framework.

How did I forget Wemby smh

4 players Jokic/Luka/Ant/Wemby

Sorry but Giannis and SGA are too old.

Jokic is older than SGA. SGA is like 6 months older than Luka. Feels like a weird line to draw.

26 is too old? He's probably at worst a top 4-5/player in the league now. You can add Halliburton, Tatum, Maxey, Scottie Barnes, JJJ, Morant, Garland, Evan Mobley, Franz Wagner and I would take Trae Young and Jamal Murray

I'm considering our roster and Jokic is good enough as the best player in the league to make us a contender overnight.

Those other guys are players we could build around.

He doesn't make us a contender.

Melo/SGA backcourt makes no sense.

Jokic is older but he makes us a contender.

Just to be clear, you are saying that 25 year old SGA is too old and you are also saying 29 year old Giannis is too old. Then are you saying that 29 year old Jokic and 25 year old Luka are not too old? As a Thunder fan I have Chet as a more valuable asset than SGA due to contract and years of control, but SGA isn't anywhere near old, especially when you are talking about Jokic who is four years older.

I'm factoring in our roster and those players.

Jokic and Luka makes us a contender from day 1.

SGA and Giannis not so much.

Pass for POR.

For all his warts, Ayton is a starting center and this is giving him away for nothing.

A starting center being paid like a superstar center.

Overpaid to be sure.

Easier ways to cut salary.

I think sending Ayton for nothing is about as easy as it gets.

Pass.

POR can move Brogdon, Simons or Thybulle for value. Better than donating a starter for nothing.

I think they need to realize that Zion will never be healthy when they need him. He just had his second best year where it looked like things were coming together in the back half and it is time to find the sucker and get as many assets as possible. Sell Ingram and CJ too, rebuild around a boatload of picks + Murphy and Jones.

I think this is way too good for Portland. They should be giving assets to have someone take Ayton (well, they should not do that, they should just keep him and wait the contract out).

I want to suggest some fun Ingram++ for Star PG trade… But really I think they mostly just run it back. Bank on development from Daniels and Trey. Which should be expected honestly. Fix the bigs and hope for Zion health. Have the assets to trade for a superstar if one comes up.

I would do Ingram for Murray the second Atlanta calls though.

Ingram on the move while he still has value.

I like Dejounte Murray suggestions…

I wonder if Jarrett Allen for Ingram is remotely possible- a scoring SF is what CLE lacks and they could bet on Mobley at C. Allen has been great, but I’d imagine Mobley would be the long-term bet.

Ingram and Trey do not work in the lineup. Ingram needs to be moved, but I expect Jonas and Naji to leave via free agentcy and the pels to bring in a Big with upside using cap space and draft picks to do so...

They will keep Willie Green who is a huge issue, they will EXTEND BI, and keep CJ while adding maybe a veteran PG and a mobile big man.

I think all 3 will be on the opening night roster.

I mean, you're probably right. But that means they're ok with just being an also-ran.
