BKN-CLE

Post#1 » by HadAnEffectHere » Fri May 17, 2024 12:21 pm

Cavs get: Mikal Bridges, Dennis Schroder
Nets get: Darius Garland

If Mitchell extends, then the Cavs are probably moving Garland and the Nets are in an awful awful awful spot. The Nets need the ability to create offense and the Cavs need role playing wings.

Might as well. Bridges' value is tied to his cheap contract so his value depreciates quickly. But if I'm the Nets I try to send Cam Johnson plus picks instead. Garland isn't gonna turn them into a contender so there's no urgency to trade for him, whereas the Cavs might be feeling some urgency to upgrade.

The urgency is more about avoiding the humiliation of sending out another great pick to the Rockets.

What difference does it make to the Nets at this point whether the pick they sent out 3 years ago is great or bad?

So you want the Nets to make a lateral(at best) trade that really helps Cleveland because of a sunk cost? Yeah sorry but that's a really bad reason to make this trade.

I think Brooklyn need more value coming back.
If they are going to trade Bridges, I think they can do better.

I think Houston would rather trade directly with the Nets. Either that or they need to move FVV.
