Miami passes on deal number one. We have no use for Zach. He's no center.

MN easily passes...no way we're giving up all that expiring money for that package. MN needs a defensive/rebounding center to play next to Jefferson, not someone like Curry. And we have NO interest in Jeffries and his contract.

Why can't Knicks fans just "close your eyes and think of England" until the Isiah Era is finished?

It's not like anyone is going to trade for your over-paid uber-stars unless a couple of your decent young guys are included. And your Idiot Boy Kind of a GM won't allow that. Sooo........

Just take your medicine for a while. Every other team has done it.

Really i thought this was an amaizing deal for Minnesota
they get 2 young players and curry, for expirings which still won't give them much cap space
and Jeffries=Buckner

Ok #1 I'm not a Knicks fan
#2 The knicks are giving up a lot of young players, they are giving up Balkman, Collins and Chandler as well as Curry, who is somewhat young
#3 I agree that isiah is to stupid to make this deal, but its still worth discussing isn't it

Haslem is above average, so Miami is decent there. I don't think Zach would work well with Wade even if PF was weak in Miami.

The lockout affected them all a little differently, a couple of them went completely stark raving nuts.

Talent-wise you are right; it certainly is an upgrade for MN, but its not a good fit.

Al Jefferson is our current and future PF, and his game is similar to that of Curry (great scorer on the block, but limited defensively). MN needs to add a center who doesnt duplicate his skills on offense, but one who helps to cover for his weaknesses on defense. Someone like Diop, Dalembert, Pryzbilla, etc....maybe not those guys specifically but just to give you an idea what kind of guy MN fans want to see playing center here.

It would be similar to pairing Randolph and Curry - that hasn't worked that well in NY this year, so we dont want to make the same mistake in MN (we have enough problems already!)

Miami is fine at power forward. After your trade, their center rotation is Mark Blount and Randolph Morris. Thanks a lot!

That's not even mentioning the job you did on our point guard rotation.

plus you guys get Crawford

Is that supposed to be a positive? The guy's shooting sub 40% and getting paid $8 million to do it, and he's averaging 18.9 points and less than 5 free throws, which means he's chucking the hell out of it. To add, he's not even expiring! He's signed through 2010/2011, maxing out at $10 million! That's ridiculous!

Also the knicks can throw in their second rounder as well

Well that makes taking crappy players back longterm seem almost palatable.

If the Knicks want to solve their problems, they need to trade their bad contracts for bad players who have bad contracts but less money over fewer years. For instance something like Jamaal Crawford, Jared Jeffries, Renaldo Balkman, and Randolph Morris for Brian Cardinal, Damon Stoudamire, and Stromile Swift would be something that Memphis might be interested in and that could help the Knicks to rebuild a year or two sooner.

I agree with MN Die Hard.

Add up all the salary MIN would be adding, and I think it will demonstrate this is a bad deal for them. I bet most GM's are going to flinch at Curry, since because of his heart, that giant contract is uninsured.
