PHI Phinally Gets McGrady

Post#1 » by Samson » Sat Jan 5, 2008 4:11 am

PHI/HOU- PHI Phinally gets McGrady like they almost did back in like 2000

PHI trades:

PG Andre Miller (The man and great true PG plus expiring contract...perfect for playing with Yao Ming!)

SG/SF Rodney Carney (World class athlete, tons of potential)

SG/SF Thad Young (another world class athlete, potential even higher, and a bright student / 'good guy' )

PF/C Jason Smith (stud big man prospect, with again, bunch of potential)

G/F Gordan Giricek (exp. contract)

HOU trades:

SG/SF Tract McGrady

PHI gets their man and HOU gets a great package, a potential PG perfect for YAO, 3 (or 4) potential starters, and a new lineup

PHI:
PG: Louis Williams
SG: Andre Iguodala
SF: Tracy McGrady
PF: Reggie Evans
C: Samuel Dalembert

HOU:
PG: Andre Miller
SG: Rodney Carney
SF: Shane Battier
PF: Jason Smith
C: Yao Ming

Plus Thad Young can play SG, SF, and maybe even a little PF with his strength, athleticism, and basketball IQ...

I think both teams do OK, what do ya'll think? PHI can throw in the pick they got from Utah if it will get the deal done

OF COURSE!!! Houston's answer to their problem is trade for a bunch of guys who could make a nice, warm spot on the bench for Yao when he finally gets to rest after playing 46 minutes on such a terrible team! I mean Yao's so big, he needs 5 scrubs warming his spot for him!

Seriously, Tmac isn't going to Philly (isn't Philly looking for capspace?) And certainly not without Iggy coming back.

Haha anyways on to the trade. I don't think Houston wants to add 4 players to their roster. I just don't think it is enough young talent coming back.

Philly passes since T-Mac is always hurt. Besides Jason Smith & T Young are definitely part of their future plans. T-Mac is a great player but since he's always injured, he does not have that kind of value. I'd say expirings, a top 15 draft pick, and a decent young player would be about right.

yea keep T-Mac away from Philly...hes always hurt and cant get you out of the 1st round.
If we wanted that we could have just kept Iverson.

Philly traded their superstar last season to rebuild, and now they throw away their young players to get a inferior one back?

why the heck would we want mggrady. This trade makes no sense. A win now team trades their star for young players and a rebuilding team trades away all its youth. This is the opposite.
