Clippers Help Hornets Build Bench

Post#1 » by loflin3hree5ive » Sat Jan 5, 2008 4:06 pm

Clippers Get:
Hilton Armstrong
Rasual Butler
Bobby Jackson

Hornets Get:
Cuttino Mobley
Brevin Knight
Aaron Williams

Clippers shave a year off Mobley's deal and get fellow Peekskill native, Hilton Armstrong.

Hornets upgrade their bench, specifically the backcourt. Byron Scott gets his boy A-Train back. The veteran leadership won't hurt the Hornets down the stretch either.

possible. Hornets are looking for scoring help from the backcourt, and Mobley definitely does that for them. Not sure if they're willing to give up Hilton Armstrong for that though. From what I've heard, Hornets seem to like Armstrong a lot

Hornets might do this. Mobley big deal might scare them off though.

Probably would prefer to keep Hilton and give something else though

Turn Mobley into Maggette and I think the Hornets accept.

Of course they do. Even if you only view Maggette as an expiring (which I don't, he's a pretty good player), just getting out of B-Jax's contract is worth it for them.

Of course, the Clippers laugh it off, but that nasty reality stuff always gets in the way ;)
