Gasol and Miller to DC, Jamison and Blatche to Memphis

Post#1 » by yungal07 » Tue Jan 8, 2008 6:20 pm

Memphis trades:

Gasol
Miller
Warrick
Navarro

Washington trades:

Jamison
Blatche
Songailia
Young

Why for the Grizz: They chop 16 million from their cap instantly if they decide not to resign Jamison, or they can resign him to a deal cheaper than what Gasol makes. Jamison is averaging 21 points and 11 rebounds this year, so he's actually putting up better numbers statistically than Gasol. They also add a potential young stud pf/c in Blatche. They also add a swingman with bigtime potential in Nick Young.

Why for the Wiz: They add big man talent in Gasol, and deadeye shooters in Miller and Gasol. Warrick takes Song's spot as backup power forward.

In a HEARTBEAT... This is obviously a no brainer for us... Id throw in our 1st rounder, Memphis 1st back and OPec too if they want... but I still cant see Memphis doing it...

Gasol > Jamison
Miller > Blatche(other then potential factor)
Warrick > Songalia
Navarro = Young (and I dont see them just handing him back to us)

So in a Wizard fantasy world I would love this deal but no chance the Grizz do it.

Can Navarro even be traded back to the Wiz? What's the rule on that?
