Memphis/Denver - Stoudamire to the Nuggets

Post#1 » by pardon_my_interruption » Thu Jan 10, 2008 4:28 am

To Denver:

Damon Stoudamire/Hakim Warrick

To Memphis:

J. R. Smith/Steven Hunter/Von Wafer

Memphis takes the extra player to keep Denver from having to pay more luxury tax.

Also frees up a roster spot for them to sign a PG with size if they choose to.

Not sure who's out there.

Payton? Keith McLeod?

Wait for the Kevin Ollie buyout?

Stoudamire is a terrible fit with iverson. absolutely no defense to stop a bigger guard.

They can free up a roster spot by lots of other ways, but I don't think they'll take on Stoudamire to do this

Getting Stoudamire while giving up JR Smith will mean that Denver will have the smallest starting and backup backcourt in the history of the NBA
