roster:
PF Boris Diaw / Brian Cook / James Augustine
SF Rashard Lewis / Boris Diaw
C Dwight Howard / Tony Battie / Adonal Foyle
SG Hedo Turkoglu / Maurice Evans / Andre Owens
PG Jameer Nelson / Keyon Dooling
Why? Boris Diaw would be a good fit for Orlando playing along Dwight Howard. Diaw is a good passer and Orlando have a lack of it.
Due to Phoenix, Indiana, and Orlando being over the cap, the 25% trade rule is invoked. Phoenix, Indiana, and Orlando had to be no more than 125% plus $100,000 of the salary given out for the trade to be accepted, which did happen here. This trade satisfies the provisions of the Collective Bargaining Agreement.

I think I'd rather see what Indy could get in this deal if they didn't include Shawne Williams, even if that means not getting Reddick (which it most certainly WOULD mean). Although, the Atlanta 1st (in the 12-17 range) might be incentive for moving Shawne, I'd rather just see if Orlando would have any interest in just a Murphy and Owens for Arroyo and Garrity type deal. I mean, Murphy's deal is a year shorter, and they could save Reddick for another deal if they'd like.

Asking for Shawne Williams when you're already getting size and shooting for two malcontents is asking too much, but...
it's really a decent deal. I think Diener should go back to ORL, though. They didn't realize how much they needed him.
of course, Diaw will likely not be a starter for the Magic (Turk and Lewis are great in their roles, and either one would suffer guarding SGs). If he can accept a 6th-man role, I think ORL would do it.

Some people really have a way with words. Other people... not... have... way.

I'd be down with a Murphy/Diener for Arroyo/Garrity/Orlando's choice of Evans, Foyle, or Augustine.
The deal would work with any of Evans, Foyle, or Augustine involved, and would simply be a straight salary dump by Indy while Orlando would be taking on a ton of future salary for more talent. If they're ok with that, this deal could get done, at least with me. I think if we continue to falter to the all-star break and Bird considers moving JO, this deal would be a good possibility as well.

Cut the suns it's a possibility, Scoot. If Orlando wants Murphy it would be a fair trade for both teams, Orlando gets a solid PF and Indiana dumps Murphy's contract for expirings.
Ecuhus, it's really difficult to make innovations in this trade, Diaw is a BYC player. I tried to send Diener to Orlando but... i couldn't do it.
