LAC/NOH/TOR/MEM Blockbuster V.2

Post#1 » by SportsFan215 » Fri Dec 4, 2009 2:25 am

Clippers Get: Paul/Peterson/Songaila/Jaric
Clippers Give: Baron/Gordon/Kaman

The Clippers get CP3, and pair him with Griffin, along with Camby and they keep their future draft picks. They also get a ton of 2011 expirings.

Hornets Get: Gordon/DeRozan/Thabeet/Conley/A. Wright
Hornets Give: Paul/Peterson/Songaila

The Hornets get 4 very good, young players for CP3. Plus they shed $8.6 million plus luxury tax savings just this year! And they save about another $10 million next year! Those are some ridiculous savings, along with the amount of talent they get too.

Raptors Get: Baron/Kaman
Raptors Give: Calderon/Bargnani/DeRozan/A. Wright

The Raptors address their two biggest needs, PG and C. Instead of rebuilding, they put a legit team around Bosh and try to convince him to return after making a deep run into the playoffs. A core of Baron/Hedo(who will bounce back to form)/Bosh/Kaman is a legit core!

Grizzlies Get: Calderon/Bargnani
Grizzlies Give: Conley/Thabeet/Jaric

The Grizzlies immediately improve their team by upgrading their PG and big man positions. Calderon will be paired with his fellow Spaniard Marc Gasol and he will upgrade the PG position, and will thrive by distributing the ball to Mayo, Gay, Randolph, etc. Bargnani will give the Grizzlies a legit outside shooting threat and will create a very good big man trio with Gasol, Randolph, and Bargnani who all complement each other very well.

Thoughts?

I'm not sure if Memphis does it. I think I've seen something like Calderon/Bargnani for Conley/Thabeet/Jaric and they didn't like it. I think it's good for them though Bargnani/Gasol front court would look good, and obviously Conley/Mayo isn't working. New Orleans IMO gets a good deal. Gordon's a hell of a player, Thabeet' and DeRozan have a lot of potential, and Conley is a good point. They also shed Peterson.

Dude... you don't trade Chris Paul for potential. Players of Pauls caliber don't get traded unless they demand out.

Stop saying Jose "crossed up by the chair" Calderon is an improvement. Tinsley's doing more than alright in Memphis. Andrea "zero rebounds is almost like infinity rebounds if you think about it" Bargnani is not a center. So you can't split his minutes with Marc Gasol. You'd have to split them with Randolph which would take away from the production of both players.

Also NOH is not trading Chris Paulina for 5 scrubs.

5 scrubs? You call Eric Gordon, Hasheem Thabeet, DeMar DeRozan, and Mike Conley scrubs? What kind of basketball are you watching?
