3pt sniper Duncan Robinson is currently 6 of 25 from 3pt range in the preseason. Luckily he's taken time away of working on that 3pt shot muscle memory for diversifying his offensive game.

I like Highsmith and I think Spo will play him because he does the little things".
Cain is the other non-drafted guy I think will make the team. He's got good size and athleticism. I think he brings enough to the table for Spo to give him minutes and not yank him quickly.

In my opinion, the guys getting minute in regular season will be Butler, Bam, Herro, Love, Lowery, Richardson, Martin, Jaquez, Bryant, Robinson, Highsmith. Cain, Jovic, Hampton, and whoever else makes the roster will have a tough time getting minutes. Maybe Swider or Cain shows they can do enough to get in to the rotation.

Of course, I'm old and have been wrong so many times. I mean I thought Beasley would be good!

Highsmith got to learn under Pj his first season, got thrown into the fire his 2nd and was able to see what he needed to improve to fit in and now going into this season he’s made those improvements and is better on both sides of the ball than PJ. Good for him.

He is a clone almost, wide upper body, wide base, super long arms, very good instincts one where to be during switches.

Another meh performance all around. Bam didn’t attempt a single 3. Let’s face it, he isn’t gonna be shooting 3s at all. Team looks pretty weak to say the least. No real PG. our PF spot is also very weak. I’m gonna say we get off to a slow start to start the season. We have 12 of our first 15 on the road. We can very easily find ourself under .500 very quickly.

10 THINGS I THINK I THINK

1. Highsmith could be our next UD
2. Bam still needs to polish that midrange jumper
3. "Citizen" Cain could be a steal and fill Martin's role if we lose him in free agency
4. Thomas Bryant is a bulldog in the paint and will help our frontcourt rebounding and defense
5. Swider is a keeper
6. Duncan is not playing up to Duncan standards right now
7. Jovic is much bigger but still needs to drastically improve on defense
8. Highsmith's 3-PT shot looks better than Duncan's right now
9. We need to package Duncan and Lowry by the trade deadline and get one good player, either a PG or another big
10. We have enough to get to the ECF, and are only 1 good player away from getting to the Finals

Swider def getting a 2 way. Cain should be upgraded to a standard on a team friendly deal.

Jovic needs reps to get comfortable at the NBA level. It’s possible if he can’t get opportunity, he may even spend time back in Sioux Falls for seasoning. I don’t like it, but it is what it is at this point.

I think Spo is going to go with Haywood at the 4. I don’t think it’s wise to start Love over the course of a full season, and Haywood defends and has to keep sticking the 3 ball to stick. If his stroke is legit, he is going to be a handy role player.

Don’t like the force feeding of Dru Smith. I just don’t think he’s at this level. Mind you, I thought the same of Gabe and he turned that into a $30m deal. So go figure.

Is JRich injured? Any reason he played so few minutes tonight?

I think Herro is going to lead the team in scoring this year. He looks like he has something to prove, and I think Jimmy will chill during the season and coast by getting his 20 a night.

I am sold on Highsmith at PF to start the season. All I know is both Kyle and Love cannot be in the same lineup together. Its obvious Highsmith has put in the work to get that 3pt on point, and his defense is legit. If they decide to put Josh to start next to Herro we could have a legit defensive lineup.

Richardson as a starting pg? He wasn’t good that I have seen nor herro. Lowry does it better where the offense is much more easier on the eyes. Lowry does a good job at finding easy offense opportunities that I haven’t seen that with the other twos.

Well he only has to be better than Dedmon and Zeller.... and I think most think he is better than them.
He should help. Atleast he is a legit NBA big.
Maybe he'll even get some minutes with Bam? Bam can pretty much guard anyone defensively and offensively maybe his passing ability would get Bryant some easy buckets?
