Man, I know first game overreactions are abundant... But we called the Gobert trade the absolute WORST EVEEER... If they take down the defending champs and position themselves to win a chip... No apologies could get us off the hook, we just gotta take the L

That's another benefit of the two franchise pillars being viable scorers, they did a nice job of filling the roster with guys that can do the dirty work without having to rely on them to play above their heads offensively come playoff time. Gobert, McDaniels, NAW.

Well they said it was a bad trade because of the price that was paid not because Gobert sucks. They still overpaid imo.

The trump card Minny had was that if it bombed and they needed to break up the team they could move one of their two franchise guys and easily recoup half of the picks they sent out if not more. They overpaid but they could afford to because of what they were sitting on, a team like us on the other hand clearing out the deck for Gobert would have been horrible because we don't have the two attractive player assets they have (in case we needed to clear house).

The price is still crazy, but it worked out and he's an integral part of their team right now, who are competing at the top-- it's wild

Minny has the massive front court to take on the Nuggets. Goober, KAT, and Naz along with might Ant Man might really take down those Nuggets. Another reminder that Spo’s gimmicky small ball playing Haywood and Martin at the 4 was an absolute joke.

This. They paid a lot for Gobert, but he is far away from the bad defender some posters here make him out to be.

Watching Ant take the ball up every single possession and initiate every play was something.

The benefits of having a true alpha. Denver couldnt stop him. Cant stop him. He can get to the paint any time he wants. Does Denver want their centerpiece, Jokic, to try and stop that? With his defense? Boy would be fouling out.
