Problem is Mitchell has not proven anything. He couldn’t even taken jazz far in playoff while he was surrounded with quality players. If it’s up to me I’d be hard pressed on trying to get Anthony Edward over Dovoan Mitchel on this team. So far, Edward is far more impressive than Mitchell in these playoffs they have been in.

What did Jimmy do prior to coming to Miami from a playoff perspective as the main guy, not #2 or #3 on a team?

Also Mitchell was out west for the stacked warriors era, stacked rockets, clippers, nuggets, etc. still
Got them the 1st once but when you’re a 1 man show in the playoffs it’s not going to get you far. He’d have legit teammates and playoff risers in Jimmy/Bam with the best coach in the world

I wouldn't mind seeing Dejounte Murray in a Heat uniform. Maybe we can do a 3-team trade with Herro going to a team outside the division.

Only if Murray fires Klutch as well.

The 'trade everyone and surround these 3 guys' team building model is antiquated, over the last 10 years it only works if 2 of the 3 guys are in their prime and are volume scorers.

Difference is Jimmy, Bam and KD don't all have the same skillsets like KD, Booker and Beal did. Bam doesn't need the ball in his hands to effect winning and both Jimmy and Bam are far better defenders than Beal and Booker.

Miami would still have good defenders off the bench like Wright and Highsmith and be able to keep one of the young guys. If you add to that quality Vet Min guys who could follow KD to Miami and Miami's ability to find talent with their 2nd rounder and in the undrafted market and being in the East over the West not to mention Spo coaching. I think Miami would be much better than this years PHX team.

So if we told you last summer you can have KD but you’ve got to give up Lowry Herro and Jovic or Jaime youre saying no?

We could easily fill up the roster with solid veteran/proven players. We’ve watched Jimmy Bam and Spo carry borderline bums to deep playoff runs several times already

You want Herro in the division to have someone for your offense to target.

Goes to show you how joke are the voting committee is. If we have legit voters from the start then LeBron could've won DPOY here in 2011-12, Bam 2020 and 2022 DPOY and Spo with multiple COY already.

5 years too late on Paul George. He's not that scorer anymore.

Watching OKC and Minny take out teams that kick our asses every time we play them and I think its bizarro world to suggest we run it back. We arent close to those squads.

Its a new age, the new stars are taking over the NBA its hell of fun to see, not so much for us with the older star but at least, its crazy to think that the Steph, Durant, Lebron era is ending.

Takes years to build what OKC and Minny have, sometimes you get there by running it back and picking up pieces one step at a time. I would've blew up Minny if I had the power to, two years ago.

Our situation isn't that dire if you look around the league. We probably have a similar average age to a team like Minny. One or two additions could change our entire outlook. I trust the FO's vision enough to give them some grace with their following decisions

I hope by one or two additions, you mean a true superstar and 3 centers.
