Great news fam. Collier is represented by BJ Armstrong.

This is why Riley hung up Jordan's jersey. Chess not checkers

I’ll forgive Collier’s 6’5 wingspan since he’s basically in line with Jalen Brunson. Also guards built like mack trucks are able to overcome the smaller wingspan’s. I’ll be pleased if he’s our pick. He oozes a lot of potential. Think i actually like him more than McCain because of style of play.

My guys that I currently want the Heat to be focused on (alphabetical order):

- Bub Carrington [PG/SG]
- Devin Carter [PG/SG]
- Isaiah Collier [PG]
- Tristan Da Silva [PF/SF]
- Kyshawn George [SF/SG]
- DaRon Holmes [C/PF]
- Nikola Topic [PG]
- Kel'el Ware [C]*

I like most of these guys to be there around the Heat's range (Topic least likely) and like them more than most of the top 10 that I've looked into

Rock solid list! Need to come up with a 2nd round list for 43.

Given the Heat drafted Jovic, you already know they scout Mega heavily. These guys will be on their radar.

I hate when mock drafts writers say take BPA, it doesn't matter fit, because fit DOES matter! Unless your pick is obviously better than what you got, you're basically wasting the pick if you can't play them. It means a trade has to happen, and nba teams get so trigger shy with trading young players. 3 years pass and you're looking at the end of their rookie contract with no idea whether that player is actually bad or just stuck playing with guys he doesn't mess with.

I'm fairly confident that the Miami FO is unmoved by and wholly disinterested in mock drafts and media consensus

A gm should be fired if they are making decisions based off internet websites mock drafts

I remember all the mock drafts had the Heat drafting Maciej Lampe in 2003. Dude barely made it in the second round

Such a wild card. No one gets into the paint and creates looks like Collier.

Is he Baron Davis, Tyreke Evans, or Emmanuel Mudiay? Damn I wish his FT% was 75% instead of 67%

I'm not sure everyone realize that FT% in most cases has a stronger Correlation to projected NBA 3 point % then actual college 3 point %.

In this case, Collier shot better from 3 in college, but Maxy was a much better FT% shooter. Hence Maxy became a great shooter from 3 in the NBA, and I doubt Collier will get to his level at that aspect.

BUT, Collier might be a better passer, might get the paint at his level, and MIGHT improve enough as a shooter that he become pretty good (He'll never be elite as shooter like Maxy IMO) - and this gives Collier a high upside. Different then Maxy, but potentially similar overall level with different strengths.

Collier is in my top 3 because he brings a rare and improtant skill (that we lack) - great first step, driving ability, able to get to the paint on his own. The finishing and passing are skills you can work on, but that initial burst and ballhandling and speed - you either have it or you don't. And he does.

Collier is more a natural point guard. Maxey is really a 2 guard or combo guard. If you want to expand Bams game you really want the more natural point. I really doubt Collier will be an elite shooter but he can become an effective good shooter from 3. The best player comparison offensively to Collier is Fox.

DeAaron Fox 6'2 (without shoes) 169 lbs
16.7 pts, 24.6 3p%, 73 ft%, 5.8 fta, 4.0 rbs, 4.9 ast

Isaiah Collier 6'3.5 (without shoes), 205 lbs
16.6 pts, 33.8 3p%, 67 ft%, 5.8 fta, 2.9 rbs, 4.3 ast

Both more natural point and have control speed and make plays for others

Collier body type is very similar to Tim Hardaway. Very compact strong. He should reach out to Tim about shooting form, lift his shot higher and use his knees more.

Another player body type Collier is similar to is Waiters. Waiters was 6'2 without shoes 221 lbs

No need to sell me on Tristan da Silva. He's going to have a very long career in the league.

I am very resistent in expecting a certian player to be available in the Heat's range. This draft is so weak in the lottery its pretty much an equal crap shoot from 1 to 30. Almost all the players can move around 10 spots

Even thou I knew what coming, this Bronny coverage is annoying as hell. I am trying to see prospects and all that shows up is Bronny throwing up an ugly floater.
