Is it possible for us to ban ourselves (Miami Heat) from the wiretap?
Every time there's a thread created with the Miami Heat being the subject, it turns into 10+ pages of jealous fans of teams with 0 championship banners hanging in their arenas bitching..
And sometimes it's fans with three championship banners hanging from the rafters.

I dont understand the rule regarding repeating games.
Does that mean the fouls or stats are still the same? What if the Hawks and/or Heat made a trade prior to the March 8 game, can the new players play?

it's not repeating the game, it's repeating the final 51 seconds of the game. Good questions on if traded players are on the roster or not. I would guess they could play whoever is on their roster as of March 8. It's not perfect, but neither was the egregious call, whoch easily could have been interpreted as cheating by the home scorekeeper in favor of the Hawks that potentially cost them the game.

I mean the general rules regarding repeating games and not just the 51 sec.
But really, I'm lost with the rules. Its unfair to have a different roster or line-up with the do over. Of course the new players have zero fouls. Since the Hawks are up by 3pts, I think Riley should trade for 3pt shooters to tie the game. LOL!

I doubt they'd ever repeat an entire game, unless it was something crazy like proven 100% that referees or players were bought off before hand, in any event that much evidence would take until the next season. If anything that major occured, they probably would just forfeit the game and hand the win to the victimized team.
In any case, this is an extremely rare decision (to re-do a portion of a pro sports game due to an official's error), it hasn't happened in the NBA in 25 years. The last time I can remember it in baseball (due to an official's error) was the George Brett pine tar incident which was like the 70s or maybe early 80s.

^do you recall the Dolphins/Pats game some years ago, where they brought the players back from the locker rooms to re-do a 4th down play; 1 hour AFTER the game was over?
That's the last time I can recall a similar situation as this one here....

In the Australian Football League (AFL) there was a game being played under lights when the power went off and the generators didn't kick in or work. The game had to be abandonded, with players walking off in the dark, and it was rescheduled I belive a week or so later; just playing the final quarter and a half with the same players etc. Was very bizarre but handled well.

Same in Europe - this stuff happen during soccer games. The game is finished on the same day if they manage to bring the power back or later (in full or only the remaining part).
We had such accident last year in Poland during the qualifications for the Soccer European Championship. It was the 60th minute when the light went off and we were down 0-1 against a very poor Kazachstan side. They managed to bring the power back after 1.5 - 2 hours and between 60th and 70th minute we scored 3 goals. the game ended 3-1 Well, it looks like it helps sometimes
