He's done more then enough for a team to give him slightly more then his 7 million dollar opt in next season. Just for his playoff performances alone. Gabe Vincent got a damn 3 year 33 mil deal.

I've got to give a lot of credit to Bam, might be the best player last night. Hit clutch shots when the Celtics is crawling back, plus the impressive defense on Celtics wings. Gotta keep this up if we want to finish the frauds.

Wonder if this will be renamed the Victor Wembanyama Award in 20 years. As great as Bam is on defense, you can't teach size. It's just wrong that Bam never won a DPOTY then again, it's about as wrong as Spoelstra never winning COTY.


I'm not sure I've ever seen players this worried about a single defender. His size and athletic ability is crazy.

I agree and he wasn’t better than Bam on defense this year but he’ll finish higher because of clout and BPG, it is what it is that’s what media awards are

I'd say this last piece on Dame. Had we had him I think Spo might have won COY this year and Bam definitely probably wins DPOY. Better record probably gives us more media coverage and awareness.

Then again again wasn't too long ago we had the 1 seed and still got robbed of both awards.

Repetition is key, which at 49% is insane based on the amount he takes. The other guy up that list who takes a bunch is Embiid and he is at 50% but still doesn't take as many as Bam.

The only thing I would read between the lines and its not a bad thing is that the majority of the centers on that list are big and tall. Meaning they don't have to do turnaround fadeaways as much, since they simply turn around square up and shot over the defender. In Bams case being on the smaller side he is forced to do this because most centers are taller than him in any given game. However that creates an ability in itself, that being comfortable in being uncomfortable is exactly how he polishes when the game is on the line and its the playoffs and your tightly contested. He will have far more repetition than any one else on that list.

Its like he takes a weakness and turns it into strength by being forced to do things the hard way.
