When things slow down and the jump shot isn't falling, you depend on your PG to create opportunities with their ability to break down the D and get into the paint. We consistently lull offensively because we don't have that, especially without Jimmy and when Tyler sits.

PG hasn't been a problem this game, they have gotten into their sets with plenty open shots, their not falling, and their not defending. Your defense has to carry you in your moments when your not hitting, to keep you afloat, there's been zero this game by Miami outside of Highsmith and Bam.

Lots of over dribbling by the guards and they seem to be aimless.

An upgrade would do wonders

We have not scored at all in the 4th and everything has been a rushed jumpshot with zero paint pressure.

It’s clear as day. Lowry has been keeping us honest but the problem has been extreme lack of depth. If you trade Duncan and a pick for Jones we’ll have a solid tandem of Lowry and Jones.

And does that help the cap situation? I'm all for it.

I'm curious if they'd be willing to let Duncan go finally though. Maybe it'd have to be around Martin or Lowry.

We are closer to a .500 team without Butler and Martin. We just won’t be able to win consistently without them.

Its insane to think SGA is already a MVP candidate but in 2- 3 years Chet gonna be better than him while SGA is in his prime. If Chet stays healthy OKC should be a dynasty otherwise it's a failure. I don't how they had KD, Westbrook, Harden, Ibaka and never won a chip. Its never talked how they botched that era

It would help for our cap situation immensely. We would get savings this year to get away from the super tax to sign an extra player or two and we would have money to retain both Martin and Jones next year.

Herro's inefficiency lately has been a problem. Really wish we would play him off ball more, running off the curl, rather than try get him to ISO and create one on one.

Right now with SGA you all are witnessing the exact thing we’re missing before we can have a legit hope of winning the championship. I’ve been saying it for years, was beating on the table for it after the finals with Dame. This team needs an elite guard, they need an elite explosive scoring guard. Someone who is going to get you 40 several times throughout a season.

Our best bet of getting that is with Mitchell coming up after dropping the ball on our other chances. If that scares you because it’ll cost Herro I implore you to watch basketball outside of the Heat, Mitchell is far, far superior. It’s not even close. Herro is a spark plug scoring guard likely best suited off the bench but can pass as a starter IF your starting lineup has the best fit to put Herro in the spots he should be in. Mitchell is an explosive lead guard capable of of averaging 30+ in the playoffs.

Its his inability to get to the line. Its the biggest drawback on his game.
It seems like this year is when Bam has finally started to get enough respect to get to the line. Maybe its coming for Tyler. But if he can't eventually pick it up there, there will always be a hard ceiling on him.

Jaime quietly has 21 points, matching Chet.

Tyus Jones isn’t saving this team fellas, he’d be a great back up if that opportunity every presents itself but you need to be thinking scoring wise. Someone we can get that’s capable of averaging 25 for a playoff series if needed

I just don’t see the Cavs dealing him this year. Everything your hearing about his availability is noise. Cavs are a playoff team and they have him locked up for another year.

We'll see in the summer. Word is Cavs won't trade him now so its a moot point. But I think majority would be in favor of Mitchell trade if its Herro + some picks. If they Cavs ask for all our assets then maybe not. But we'll see. From comments in Utah, its unlikely he would resign there. But who knows, he might change his mind.
