wow i never even thought about Caleb starting at the 2 spot if this trade actually happens. he would help Dame out tremendously and the defense wouldnt drop at spot when jrich subs in. not sure about Oubre cause i never watch him play

I honestly haven't watched much of Oubre outside of the times he plays against us. But I know he's capable of putting up 20 on any given night and is super athletic and doesn't have a negative wingspan. I trust in Spo squeezing every little last drop of juice out of him. And if the stars align just right and we get buy-in on defense from Wood. That starting lineup could be deadly, all 5 dudes are capable of hanging 20 points on your head while being hyper-athletic and lanky. Off the bench, 2 guys are still capable of putting up 20 pts while still being very long and athletic. At least with what is left out there I think this might be the best lineup we can get if we have to give up both young guys along with Herro and Lowry.

Squad looks good… the lack of Herro, Jovic, and JJJ worries me as it implies we overpaid for Dame.

Unless you tell me we sent out less FRPs as a result.

Worst case scenario and the Heat cave and sell the farm in this case lol. I really want to keep Jovic, I like him for the PF behind Love but with spot minutes during the season to keep the older legs fresh. I really think he'll show us something worth keeping him in the rotation.

Ignoring the loss of long term roster building assets…for the present championship run… that’s a solid squad!

Poor Ira, he's completely out of material at this point lmfao. Either that or he just figured out how free agency works.

I was completely against bringing back Winslow, but he could absolutely be useful in the way Igoudala was to GS. If we acquire Dame we have the makings of a GS East honestly. Winslow's defense would be useful against some of the guys we'll potentially see in the East. Brown, Tatum, Harden?, Mitchell, Brunson, Middleton. Definitely would've been a solid body to throw on Gordon in the finals as well. Sign me up.

Talks of Nikola Mirotic returning to the NBA are "heating up" AGAIN he would be a massive upgrade over Love.

If we get Mirotic it'll be for the minimum. It seems as of right now Wood is also going for the minimum. I'd rather add Wood over Mirotic to be honest.

Nah give me Mirotic, so we can have the Bucks vs Heat on another level. He would have the chance here to get back on Portis lol

This is why I thin they want to makesure that Lowry stays in this trade for Lillard. You want those 30M coming off the books next year, or else were gonna be is serious trouble specially once Bam gets that SuperMax.

Aren’t those 30 mil coming off the books next year regardless even if he isn’t included? He is in the final year of his deal.

If he is included in the deal they would need back player of equal value that is also 30 Mil expiring, that just wouldn't be feasible because he is trade filler to make the salary's match, unless of course Duncan also goes in the Deal then you could get albeit less money in expiring's maybe something like 18-24 mil. What I am saying is Miami would rather not send him out in the Lillard package, so they can take advantage of his expiring deal next year to keep them under the 2nd apron.

Which makes sense why we are hearing Herro & Duncan, plus 2 FRP's being the current deal in place.
