As much as I wanted Dame IF we lose this game it's not because of Herro. Herro had a very good game today. A loss like this would happen even with Dame with Jimmy playing like this.

This team does not have a Herro problem. It has a major roster construction problem and it’s affinity for 6’5 PF’s. They think everyone is PJ Tucker. Tucker is built like a Mack Truck.

Exactly. You'd think after losing every year in a series to a bigger team, they'd actually try to get bigger. But nope. It's criminal how they treat the 4 spot. It's almost intentional like they read the forum and troll us haha.

Actually came out of that loss feeling pretty good. The gap between us and Celtics isn't that big provided Herro can be efficient on offense and Bam is aggressive. We lost this game on the boards and Butler having a pretty awful game. And no Caleb or Highsmith either, both would have helped on the boards. Its not a L i feel bad about

We beat bigger teams to get to finals. So this doesn't track

I don’t get the Herro crapping.
The Heat as a whole is not well constructed.
Butler, Bam and Herro is just not enough.

Bam can eat.
Herro isn’t utter garbage in the matchup.
Lowry still has a pulse for the time being.

Dru Smith won’t be playing big minutes when it matters. He shouldn’t be, anyway.

Nikola Jovic was a wasted pick. Two years of nothing but bench. Trade the kid for a vet already

Yep. Should have just given Blazers Bam to get the deal done!

Every year...a different excuse. LOL! :banghead:

What excuse? They literally asked for Bam or Jimmy. That was their price. They spent the summer trashing our 3rd best player and never answered the phone after they were told they couldn't have Bam or Jimmy.

10 THINGS I THINK I THINK

1. We're not as bad as the basketball world assumed we would be.
2. Haywood Highsmith is missed
3. Herro needs to be the 6th man
4. K. Love and K. Lowry don't need to be on the floor at the same time
5. JJJ is a lot bigger than I thought. Same height as Tatum but bulkier
6. Spo put the kids in too soon tonight. The insertion of Dru Smith and JJJ interrupted the flow we had going early
7. Doris Burke doesn't need to be calling prime time games (at least not as the main announcer)
8. Thomas Bryant needs to focus on playing in the paint instead of hoisting up jumpers from the perimeter
9. Bam is good...but not a SUPERMAX player.
10. Jovic should have gotten some run...especially when BOS put Brissett in the game.

Lots to like despite the loss. The Celtics are the same team despite the new additions. Porzingis and Holiday are cool but Horford looks completely cooked.

Not afraid of this matchup at all if we’re healthy come playoff time.
Don’t let us get one. — Nikola Jovic

Dru Smith very lucky he got that 500k this year. He should invest and manage a subway after all this-MettaWorldPanda

I'm very Lukewarm on this Celtics team lol. Not optimistic about this current Heat team but if we're healthy in the playoffs I think we're right in the mix

One thing I did get from this game is despite the fact that they won, Boston is not that good. This is going through the Bucks.

Herro is a starter. Heat need to be invested in getting him to reach his ceiling or just trade him. If you bench him you loose him. There's only so many times you can put a guy on the trade block before you loose him mentally.
He'll start, come trading deadline they'll see where he is and decide whether to do a small trade that doesn't include Herro or move Herro in a bigger package. Either way if we keep him or want to get his value for a trade value, benching him isn't an option at all. And from this game why would you suggest to bench him, when the offense was struggling this much without him

This was a revenge match for C's after the humiliation in the ECF & they won by just 8pts w/ ref help

I'll take us in a 7 game series. They still have Mozzarella

Josh and Highsmith would've been a great matchup for their small ball. I think the Bucks are more of a challenge than the Celtics.
