Spo loves his. Why, I don’t know. But I bet he will be with us one way or another.

If Highsmith has a legit 3 ball now, he can operate as that 3&D 4 for us.

Sure seems like we will be going with

Richardson / Lowry / Smith / Hampton
Herro / Robinson / Cain
Butler / Martin / Jaquez
Highsmith / Love / Jovic
Adebayo / Bryant / Robinson

Slim possibility of Caleb at the 4 over Love, with Jaque getting burn. Jovic on the outer, sadly.

I agree, they need to ship out Jovic in the next trade for a better return, its obvious this team doesn't have the patience or time to invest in that type of player. I really think they want to invest in Caleb turning into our 6th man.

Yes, is the short answer. A known commodity, they have invested in, that problably does rather well in Heat Scrimmages against an old retired ex nba player now assistant coach, but will play like straight dodo in a real nba game against actual talent.

He seems like a safe but not good player, a coach doesn't have to worry about him trying to do too much.

So, how's that Bam 3-point shot coming along?

edit: for the record, I don't even care what percentage he shoots it at for now, but don't talk ish about expanding your game if you don't take a single 3 in 15 shots lol.

   I think what he said was he would shoot more 3pts, except he meant during practice not in an NBA game. Thats next year, but regardless he doesn't need it, he does a lot of other things really well, Id much rather have him start bringing his 3pt into his bag when his athletism starts to diminish at around 32 years of age and he can't face up another center.

Jovic is a project on a roster that has championship hopes and it takes time for younger bigs to develop the NBA. Bam who was drafted in the lottery didn't even get 24 minutes a game until his 3rd year on a team that was basically a middle of the road team.

Also, Highsmith turns 27 in December, Martin is already 28, you need to keep developing players because Martin could drop off quickly once some of his athletic ability drops in a few years(if Miami pays him next year).

Highsmith is legit, 4 spot should be held down by him and Caleb. If you want extra scoring off the bench bring Caleb off the bench and start Highsmith as a 3 and D slasher. 3 ball was his main emphasis all summer and his defense was already elite

It’s unfortunate because Dru shouldn’t even be in this position right now. Bouyea is and always has been better

Well, Dru Smith is bigger than Bouyea which comes in handy with a switching defense. Other than that there's really no reason to pick Dru over Bouyea.

Id give Highsmith a guaranteed, give Cain a two way contract, and cut Dru. Sign Dragic to have a vet who can push pace.

No part of his game is safe.

Best PG on the team is Bam, that shouldn’t be the case.

We’re going into another season with HORRIBLE guard play in a league that is heavily reliant on elite guard/perimeter play.

More of the same

A coach doesn't have to worry too much about him trying to break off the play to look for his own shot.

Come on now, Kyle Lowry is gonna give us 7 assist per game, and throw some sweet outlet passes. Why so sad,

Ugh... I have 0 interest in the mid season tourney, at least the play in games made the end of the regular season mean something to more teams.
