To Nola for CJ McCollum and Nance. Good deal.

Not sure what the incentive is for us to deal Jimmy to Philly. If we ain’t getting Maxey back, what’s the point? Their picks and salary filler don’t do much for me when we’re giving up an All NBA guy.

What about Jimmy for Booker if Booker's looking to move and PHX want to appease KD to also stay. Beal, Jimmy and KD are a better fit and we get Booker who's on Bam's timeline and may still have the assets to add someone else with Herro and pieces.

As much as I'd love Book I don't see the Suns sending him out for just Jimmy, they're going to want more assets than a 35yr old Butler. If I'm PHX im more interested in dealing KD than Book but that's just me.

Need to hit on a top 3 pick.

I feel like we'd still get a really good pick in the teens

My shortlist of "need to go" players:
Caleb, Highsmith, Orlando Robinson, Thomas Bryant

I'd like an upgrade to J Rich, but don't mind him

If heat do trade Jimmy I hope it's what he wants. Too many good damn memories and too much gratitude for that dude.

As a heat fan I can see it might be best for both parties to move on

Duncan's contract after some cap hikes has become far more attractive and his play has improved. Just not sure I see magic giving up a first when they have so much cap. Besides, how much are we really expecting klay will command on open market? They could also just sign someone like alec burks as a FA and keep the pick. Maybe if we threw in our 2nd it'd be more interesting for them but teams rarely do trades like that in the offseason.

Also fwiw the magic pick 18th. Philly picks 16th.

Well i hope the sixers have the expirings and first round picks available. Im sure riley will seek at least 3 picks. And arison will want the cal relief.

Im okay with trading with the Sixers if it means we are going to use those picks to maximize the talent level around Bam and his long term with the franchise.

I do not think we have the assets to acquire a third star next to butler and bam, and should we try to kick it back with the same roster next year, expext the same or worse results.

I dont think theres interests from another team for someone like Herro who is often injured.. i dont think we can net a frp for him because of his durability. It may cost us some other player attached to him to get interest

Rich will stay on the minimum, and that's great for us. He's a serviceable backup.

Same for Highsmith, he's solid as an end of rotation guy. Just keep for very cheap.

Martin should not get an offer, you can't spend on players like him. He's extremely replaceable.
Robinson and Bryant should get gone, didn't work out..time for new projects.

I think Alondes gets a real chance next year. Swider might too.

Honestly I'm not worried about out depth, I worry about our top 4.

Sad truth is - we bet big on Herro, and it failed.

He didn't create any trade value for himself, and isn't worth his contract. Which makes it very hard to trade for a star.

Very surprised the front office overvalued him since they're watching him daily, how could they be so misguided about a player you're so familiar with, I dont get it.

Philly have 55mil in cap space they could just absorb his salary into their cap space and would take 48.7mil off our payroll and give us a 48.7mil TPE.

Then we could have Herro, Rozier, Jaquez, Jovic and 5FRPs and swaps to shop. Or better yet you could trade a team that would prefer cap relief the TPE from Jimmy's trade plus 3 picks and 3-6 swaps available for a player and still have Herro, Jaquez, Jovic and 2FRPs to trade for a 3rd guy. Many ways to move in that scenario.

The amount of cap space available out there this offseason, you might see a lot of guys with PO's prefer to take their option and play another year or be forced to take less than normal market price.

New CBA basically eliminated middle tier contracts and the max non stars/non borderline stars will get is the TPE from teams.

Martin is going to either sign for the MLE but most likely be involved in a S&T.

We do seem to do well there.

Im tank talking though, 2025 draft.

Harper, Flagg, Bailey. Not on many Heat fans radars right now, but they all could be special.

Lot’s of smoke building with these Jimmy trade rumors. It may be a mutual decision to get Jimmy to a true contender. We are so hamstrung cap wise that this could be our get out of cap hell free card while stocking up our asset cupboard to get his replacement that fits Bam’s and this franchise’s new timeline.

Orlando needs a legit play making guard along with shooting. If they could figure out how to get that guard while trading that pick for Duncan it would be a great move on their part. For Heat it would just be a salary dump though. It's unlikely the 16th pick will be better than Duncan Robinson.

If we get a 2026 1st in any Jimmy trade even Philly’s would make it a lot easier since it would protect us from giving Charlotte an unprotected in 2028.

Im not too worried about that 2028 pick if we did a quick rebuild.

We could legit add a few picks to form the roster this draft. Stink it up next season. Luck in to a top 3 2025 pick. Then push forward with that core. Wed be in a good spot, even if we had to convey.
