I think we have to be open to everything in terms of trades at this point. Everybody on the table, including Jimmy sadly, and we have to pick one direction or another once and for all. Go all in with Jimmy, or develop for the future. And developing for the future doesn't have to include keeping either Bam or Herro.

I personally think Riley takes one last swing at it. It will be hard though. The assets we have that could garner a star (Bam and Herro), are the ones we'd want to keep IN ADDITION to that star to solidify the team as a contender. If we can somehow get lucky and a star demands to be here, maybe we can make something happen that actually could do that. Think a Dame-Herro-Butler-Bam lineup. THAT'S when you can field a top heavy lineup with one trick pony 9 gleaguers next to them and be a contender. But not with just Jimmy-Bam-Herro.

Unfortunately that's an unlikely scenario, and its more likely we don't get a star but get good talent in a trade to surround the current core. Think a Rozier-Herro-Jimmy-Bam-PJ or Naz Reid type lineup. A contender, sure, but enough for a chip without getting extremely lucky with schedule/injuries? No.

If we already had that type lineup and were seeking to ADD to it in the off season, that's when you could talk about being a contender again next season with an incremental move. That's why we should have at least done SOMETHING to upgrade our g league trash this past off season.

Sign and trade Gabe Vincent should be explored for a player like Bulls Patrick Williams

Williams a Virtual No-Show

Donovan said after the win over the Nuggets that the decision to bring Williams in off of the bench was not meant as a direct message to the 21-year-old. Williams also said that he was “all for” Green drawing the start and that he was just focused on winning.

Williams finished with six points and three rebounds despite playing over 20 minutes, more than either Green or Jones.
He struggled from the floor going 1-for-6 overall and 1-for-3 from beyond the arc.
“Look, I get it in terms of where he was drafted, where he was picked,” Donovan told reporters, “but that’s just not who Patrick Williams is. For us, we’ve got to make decisions that are going to be best for our team.”

Portland is getting FLEECED. Why would they want a bum like Bam who’s own fan base even hates him and picks for Dame who is only almost 33 and will only be making $63M when he’s 36?

Because some people around the league actually think Bam is better than what he is.

If Bam was somewhere like Detroit he would be Joel Anthony or Nerlens Noel at best

Salary doesn't work and the Blazers aren't trading Sharpe for Butler. Sharpe's not untouchable, but Butler is not gonna be a guy they would move him for.

I do think Portland is a landing spot for either Bam or Butler tho.

Bam, Robinson for Simons, Nurkic and the Knicks FRP.

or

Butler for Simons, Little, Keon Johnson and the Blazers lottery pick (if it's in the 5-9 range) and a future Top 4 protected pick swap.

Ignoring the fact that Dame has yet to demand a trade or the Blazers having shown any interest in trading him, Kyrie and Dame would make an awful pairing.

Again, Dame still not asked for a trade and the team still not showing interest in trading him, so he's not available. But also, why would the Blazers do that anyway? Bam makes no sense for a rebuilding team, which is whats happening if Dame leaves.
