Dame also respects Jimmy and his mentality. Says that’s one of his friends but Bam is his “Patna for real”. He is the literal perfect fit for this team at PG and next to Jimmy and Bam. He’s EVERYTHING this team has been missing for years now to truly put them over the top. He grew up a Heat fan, it just makes way too much sense. Please get this done and let’s finally give Jimmy and Bam the talent they need to capitalize and add a championship on top of this very, very elite 4 year stretch.

We managed to score under 100 4 out of the 5 games (1 game under 90) we played in the finals, when Dame played this season Portland scored under 100 5 times in 58 games, and never scored under 90.

Dame vs the Nuggets this season (4 games): 37.5-5.0-9.0 on 55/49/97 shooting splits. ELITE numbers.

Dame vs the Nuggets in the playoffs (13 games): 29.5-5-8 on 43/38/87 shooting splits.

Dames last matchup against the nuggets in the playoffs (6 games): 34.5-4-10 on 46/45/94 shooting splits.

You take Herro and dipos expirings off the Heat this season and replace them with Dame and the Heat are more than likely the team that wins the finals in 5. This guy is the perfect 1st option to put in place next to Jimmy and Bam sliding each of them 1 notch down the scoring totem pole and putting them where they’re at their best (flirting with 20 a night with elite all around 2 way play) while Dame is putting up 30-5-8 a night.

Get it done Pat!

Is this the new Giannis, KD, Beal? Lmao

We will waste the off-season on this dream while all the practical additions get scooped up. Unreal if Riley and Co. fall for this diva nonsense again.

Dame doesn’t have the guts to demand a trade to Miami, where he will have to practice hard and will be criticized to no end if he fails.

He’s pretty much already said I’d they fail to build a legit contender (they’ll fail) then he’s going to ask out. We have video here of him saying this is “obviously” his preferred landing spot. This has way more legs than Giannis, Beal, and KD.

I think this moves pretty quick, more than likely sometime between the draft and the end of July. We’ll have a better idea depending on what they do with this 3rd pick.

Some more good insight on the Lillard situation from Chris Haynes - Lillard's go to reporter.

Lilard talk will be a big part of our offseason, It's a lot easier to have our entire discussion in the off-season thread over having a separate thread for every player/idea.

The Front office needs to step up and focus on the big whales this offseason, let's be focused too.

Wonderful more fruitless speculation. I get why a mod requested this thread, but don’t agree with it. Him picking Miami as a desired location is the very likely the closest we’ll see to him being in a Heat jersey. All this accomplishes is fueling the baseless ridicule to the front office and somehow Riley (who’s not even in a full capacity role with the team) when we don’t get him.

Agreed, there's way more working in our favor with this one over the KD situation last year.

- Lillard has named Miami and BKN as two teams he'd want.

- Portland have said they not trading Dame to a West team.

- Lillard has said he's not going to Boston.

- Miami are coming off a finals run where a lot of their tradable players have raised their value. Martin/Lowry/Robinson

- Miami have more tradeable picks then we had when Durant was available.

- We have enough assets to potentially unlock our 2025 pick with OKC unlocking more picks to trade and make the additional trade for Lillard which was much harder before.

- We have a higher value FRP this season then we had last season #18 over #27 last year.

- Bam has relationship with Lillard and the pairing would be great.

- Miami matches Dame's whole aesthetic about not running from the grind doing it the hard way. This would align entirely with what Miami have going with this build and Heat Culture.

100%! Those in here crying need to go do it somewhere else, this has some serious let’s and he’s the literal perfect fit next to our stars that would finally put us over the top for the championship. It is going to be talked about and it’s going to be talked about quite a damn bit

The Blazers are going to end up drafting Scoot at 3 and then that's when the speculation starts to happen cause if a trade does not materialize on draft day for Scoot and they take this into the first week of free agency then that's when the fun begins. Problem right now is Dinwiddie and Harris with 4 1st round picks from BK can happen today maybe even 5 cause they can make picks at 21-22 this year and trade them after avoiding the Stepien rule. Portland doesn't need to take on Herro's salary and Dinwiddie and Harris could actually fill roles unlike Lowry(He'll want to be bought out) and Oladipo's cadaver legs. You have Simons making 3 million less then Herro and Sharpe making only 6.3 million for the next 3 years. Can't stress this enough that if they are going full rebuild they don't need Herro's long term salary. This Dame folklore will rank right up there with all the other big name request from years past.

100%, which is why this is all baseless speculation. Who else would we trade? Old man Lowry? Duncan Robinson? Good luck with that

Herro has never needed to be sent to the blazers, he needs to be sent somewhere for picks to reroute for dame. Herro can get you 2 and that’ll in return give us 5 along with Lowry and Dipos expirings. We can find more picks elsewhere but it won’t/shouldn’t be needed.

The only player of interest on our team for the Blazers is going to be Bam and of course we all know that's not going to happen. We throw around Herro's name and his newly minted long term contract making upwards of 30 mil a year as if other team's will be welcoming that with open arms. Yes you'll find teams willing to take it on but it has to make utter and complete sense. I find the only teams willing to take on a Herro are teams that have an aging vet star two guard that's disgruntled that Herro would be replacing at a much cheaper cost. Something along the lines of a LaVine or Beal but even that seems like a stretch. Another out of the box possibility is a S&T for Kyrie Irving using Herro. Maybe Kevin Love and Irving reunion? I honestly think that makes more sense then Dame at the moment.

That Herro for 2 1st round picks is such a far fetched scenario. Only team I could envision being able to do that would be the Spurs but then I look at there depth chart and see they have absolutely no reason to do that either with the emerging Vassell at the two. The more I study other teams around the league the clearer it becomes that Herro will be here for the foreseeable future. We will add players using our expiring's and picks but it won't be for Dame.

Herro and Lowry for Irving makes some sense as if you give Irving somewhere close to a max deal for 5 years then Lowry and Herro's salary come close to what Irving is going to cost. Then you make a separate deal of Robinson for Hardaway Jr. to complete the trade. Mavs would be a team I would see having a lot of interest in Herro and we know Cuban likes Robinson personally. Instead of losing Irving for nothing this would make sense for them.

C Bam Adebayo

PG Kyrie Irving

I also believe Kyrie's behaviour issues here with the Heat will be well under control. If he is motivated and feeling good with his teammates he can still be an extremely dangerous offensive player.
