At the right price, absolutely.

Want, yes.
Need, no.

Lillard is nice but so is depth. Injuries happen and he is on the later part of his career. I like that we are willing to make moves. I dont think the NBA wants him here and that is a huge reality.

Lilard is nice to have but Miami will no longer has the depth if they have him on the roster. What happens if he is injured during the course of the season? I will tell you, Miami will likely be out of playoff picture or first round exit. Having the depth is obviously working for miami. Why kill it? If Miami can get him at affordable price, great! If not then nah

I would take him @ a discount but not with his current salary
If we get him I wouldnt mind. We do need scoring but anything short of the ring is failure.
Getting old too. He should have asked out POR years old ago.

Obviously Dame will make a difference, but just a bit jaded at this point after the initial excitement of having a star/whale come out and ask to be here.

So while the answer is Yes, I'm not jumping up and down either way.

Im 50/50 still because i feel like if tyler wasnt injured it wouldve saved jimmy some heavy lifting when he couldve turned it up in the finals. Might’ve still lost cause denver was just too big but i think spo wouldve used tyler to attack MPJ more. I really dont want to see the rookies go and im fine with running it back with what we have but i know if we get Dame the premium ring chasers are coming too

If you can add Lillard to Butler/Adebayo, you do it.

There are limits to how many players Miami can give and still field a reasonable roster around those 3, but Lillard fits with Butler's timeline for a championship aka ~3 years of all-star/elite level basketball. There is a risk Lillard becomes a $63M albatross in 26-27.

That said, I think Miami has to be more concerned with what other options -- if any -- there are in terms of trade/FA targets over the next year or so. Beal was supposedly on Miami's radar, but he is now off the market, as is Durant. I can't imagine Miami would have much interest in Harden unless he were simply given away by Philadelphia (unlikely) or signed as a FA on a friendly deal.

Other guys who could become available via trade in the next year or two (imo): Zion Williamson, Pascal Siakam, Trae Young, Zach Lavine, DeMar DeRozan (a FA next summer, as well)

Free agents Miami might have an interest in next summer (and are likely to leave their teams): Siakam, DeRozan, and Gordon Hayward

I think Miami will push hard for a Lillard deal. If that doesn't work out, I can see them making a big push for Siakam at the deadline.

Yes, of course.

He is super motivated to win a title and will have the right pieces around him.
I don't care about those FRPs, who are like 20ish or smth. at all (only thing that will hurt is giving up Jovic, who looks fantastic). Rather have a guy who can get you the title together with JB and Bam. They'll have like a 3 year window to do it and I expect Lillard to play at a high level through all of his contract, he can be the transition guy when JB is done and we are heading into the Bam era.

We have to land him if we want a shot at a championship with Jimmy. I think we will land him, but it may not be until midseason. All the waiting around for it to happen, the limbo for current players, and lack of time to mesh as a new team may prove harmful come playoff time though.

This is why it is ridiculous to start a hate campaign against players on your team that you want traded. That ugly Bam stan on twitter made a social media name for himself off demonizing Herro and he and his followers are now shocked that he isn't highly regarded enough to land one of Bam's purported 100 best friends in the league. The deal would have been done by now if not for that and a few missteps on Dame's side.
