I’m sure we have some tax saving moves up our sleeves. Stay tuned!

Surely we still have a 2nd we can use to free up a little money at the deadline!!

The front office can’t shake chit up because nobody wants a fat useless Lowry even on his expiring for anything of substance unless we dish out picks with him we can’t afford to trade. Duncan making 18 mil with another two years on his deal is another player nobody wants without a heavy pick package. This team sucks and we deserve to give Jimmy better but we just can’t. Best thing to do is to sell high on Jimmy and get a contender to empty there asset cupboard for an all in shot at a chip. I think the 76ers are our mark.

Is there a Herro Reaves rivalry I was unaware of or is it because they’re both white? Because Tyler still gets paid more than twice what Reaves does and while I’m hopeful, if he can’t produce like this in wins, they’ll just be empty numbers.

Everyone (non-Heat fans, the media, analysts, etc) was overhyping Reeves this summer and many suggested he was better than Tyler Herro.

That would be fairly ironic MWP.

Would hate to see Jimmy in another jersey though. Sucks.

Sure brother, a guy in a suit on the bench would have the Heat winning. A guy that is currently producing less than Herro in the first week of play would make the Heat more successful. That's real cope.

I'm not talking about what they may do all season. I'm talking about right now. If you are going to lament the Heat being 1-4 because they don't have either of these guys, then you need to compare what they have done in week 1 and how that could have helped the Heat.

But I get it. In fantasy land everything works out. Beal would be healthy and Dame would be producing like you expect him to and not how he's actually doing in real life.

Context exists but like I said, whatever helps you cope!!

yes, i am coping by actually accepting reality and not living in fantasy basketball land

In hindsight it's safe to say Beal might have been the best move we could have done in the off-season. Think about it. Herro is basically currently doing what we would've brought in Dame to do and we're still losing. Beal would've added that additional ball handler and scorer without giving much. Yes I know Beal hasn't played yet this season, but he's not dead. Beal would've given us another guy who could score 18+ any given game along with Herro, Butler, and Bam. Currently outside of our current 3 do you guys trust anyone to confidently they can get us at least 15 when one of our top guns are struggling? I can't.

This team may have peaked.

Lowry's contract isn't an issue at this point. We could move him today if we wanted to. The issue is what you'd get back. It would either be the same (a washed player on a similar expiring deal), or an overpaid player on a multi-year deal from a team looking to clear that deal from their books.

Duncan's contract is the one that could still choke a horse.

You guys are not gonna like what father time has in store if we stand pat and remain asset less.

Realistically this would be the ideal year for a soft rebuild. Next year we don’t own our pick so no point in rebuilding then.

Next year is top 14 protected.

We don’t have to bring up Dame and Beal after every loss. We struck out. We get it. It’s time to move on. And in doing so, we need to trade Jimmy. Jimmy will land us a HAUL. We are NOT winning anything with this team, sell high. Jimmy was a great Heat player and I appreciate the years he played here, but it’s time to reset the team. Philly, Lakers, Warriors, etc etc are all prime to land Jimmy. We take everything we can get from them while also dumping Lowry on their head.

This chitshow isn't worth sitting 2 and a half hours to suffer. Go out with the wife, have a great time, when you're back home watch the 10 minute highlights on YouTube on the NBA page and read the summary and box score on NBA.com. This team does not give a flying f about the regular season anymore, if they don't care why should you?
WIFEY should take top priority over this, leave the suffering to us and enjoy the wife and oh congratz on the sex

Glad i took yalls advice and chose Wify instead of this crapholla to start our season

I'm old enough to remember when Heat fans were strutting around crowing because we had Portland over a barrel and we were about to get Dame for peanuts and steamroll the eastern conference on our way to the championship.

You all angered the basketball gods. Now we're going to need a sacrifice to get rid of this curse.

Wait ... no ... not me!

My apologies. Didn't know I wasn't allowed to bring up anything that was related to us that probably could've changed some of these losses. Won't happen again.

Never understood why we paid him. Paying a 1 dimensionsal player rarely works out because when that 1 dimension isn't firing on all cylinders the return looks bad.
