Right, but what are they going to do, they can't just replace him and they did get a title. It's just a sad fact of the playoffs, the healthiest good/great teams usually win the title.

Nuggets down 0-2 is absolutely not something I expected.

Time for Denver to blow it up and trade Bam for Jokic

Will always take defensive size at the big man spots. Joker can't do his lil turns in the paint and see the rim clearly. He misses and the defense doesn't have to collapse

We would have 4 people in the paint trying to harass him and then scrambling to close an open 3. And that's like cause of some crazy switch. How many times was Antman guarding Jokic ?

I've been saying it for a long while now and Wolves are showing it -

Smallball is dead. You need skilled size. Size is key.

It allows you to have a great defense without running yourself into the ground on every possession. It makes the important valuable things easy - scoring inside, rebounding, clogging the paint, being disruptive.

Size + Shooting is the formula.

We need to move Bam to the 4 and supersize the team, everyone moves down a position.

How quickly things change, old friend.

It was just yesteryear where we were joshing about your honorable franchise,

Now it seems we would sell our souls to add your backup bigman.

Oh good time we had...

I don't want to watch anymore of this, its downright depressing looking at the difference between them and us. Like at no point, are we even within the same stratosphere as a build goes to look that good. The league could give Miami an extra 20M in cap and we couldn't find a way to add pieces to catch them. So damn depressing how much salary this team has invested on turd contracts, and mediocre players who aren't elite at anything outside of Bam and 10 games out of the year where Jimmy's body feels good enough to give it 100%.

Pat Riley should feel sick inside if hes watching these playoffs and thinks were anywhere close to this level of play. You have to gut half this team, and replace them with elite role players just to get to this level.

Dude, just enjoy the game

He's went from having an inside source about how hard the team has been working to add talent....to a fairly optimistic person......to the most pessimistic poster on the board lately. Smh.

Got to keep spicing things up my man!!! I'll never fear well get there again. We just need to keep grinding hard, moving a couple pieces here and there, stay healthy, play hard trust Spo to come up with something magical and wala were top in the conference in no time. Well wallop these fake azz wolves next year yall watch. We don't need size we got a Bam, and we also don't need scoring we got Jimmy, Herro, Rozier Also nobody plays perimeter defense like Haywood Highsmith and Caleb Martin, we got this all we really need is to stay healthy next year yall watch.

On the real though, the playoffs are about matchups, health, and a sprinkle of luck. We have been fortunate to find ourselves playing teams limited in health, doesn't mean we don't win but it does tilt the scales and makes it far easier to head down a certain path.

You can look up and down at the bubble run, who we played, who was injured at the other end then our luck ran out losing Bam, Dragic towards the end. That would have been a Miami Chip if it wasn't for that, but who ended up getting the luck spectrum there the Lakers.

You look at our run last year, hobbled Giannis, hurt most of the series, we took advantage. We ended up losing Herro which based on the stats was actually beneficial, it secured our defense and role players were shooting ungodly numbers from the three ball throughout that run, sprinkle some Jimmy magic, and boom find your selves in the Finals. We caught the Celtics sleeping, and matched up very well against their team, not so much anymore but at least we did then. Found ourselves with a healthy Nuggets team with all time best center in Jokic, and Miami lost their magical 3ball shooting, the end.

Looking at this year, You look around and most veteran teams have been pushed out the playoffs, you have young up and coming teams left, which takes the vet advantage away. Nuggets have a hobbled Jamal Murray against Mini something their benefiting from, health is as much of a skill these days to have on your side. This tilts the scales significantly, the other big team the Lakers, were eliminated by the Nuggets, Mini has zero issues dealing with the teams remaining. OKC is the only remaining young team with size left to give them a challenge, it will be SGA vs Ant. Mini has the perimeter defenders to eliminate Dallas if they find that to be their opponent in the next round. Looking towards the East, Boston is going to be pretty much have zero effort until the Finals, they should theoretically run through the East. However their bigman is injured in KP, doubtful theyll beat Mini on perimeter shooting alone.

Its like every year you look at the champ, and you see, A. They were matchup problems within their brackets B. they favored with health and the opponent had health issues C. they are rewarded with a bit of luck hear and there, thats the combination to get a chip.

Watching the replay of Minny/Denver. Look at all that basket pressure by the wolves. Postwork. Its almost like theyre playing the game inside out. Theyre our inverse. We try to hit 3s to open up the lane. They work your ass down low to open up the 3.

Minny proving how a team that is built well can play good defense. No Gobert but they still had bigs to clog the paint. Jokic is mad he ddidnt get to post up Lowry this year.
