Maxey is becoming a superstar before our eyes. He imposed his will in that elimination game. Imposed his will. The only person on our roster capable of taking over like that is Butler when he is healthy, rested and motivated. No one else on our team can do that.

Jimmy once upon a time was able to do it in spurts, for 2-3 games out a 7 game series. These days he may not be able to reach those peaks we enjoyed so much. Expecting Jimmy to perform in that matter again is asking too much at his age and mileage.

Any championship level teams needs consistent high level performances from role players. If our role players were hitting shots, this would be a series against Boston.

Maxey is a great argument in our favor moving forward with Pat. He knows he missed on one. Decidedly missed on one. **** up. I like where that could lead him to on future decision making.
