You're right, we know how good Jokic is, but that is the number 1 defense they're facing. This is a bad matchup for Denver. Minny is tall AF w/vicious defenders.

Heat twitter pumpers love them some Jagsmith though. Must resign blah blah blah. Stop giving us these undersized G league try hards and making them into something that is just not realistic cause they flash some perimeter defense. I blame Austin Trille for this. Haywood showed him some attention now he’s his twitter agent and the rest follow

Preach, that dude is vermin

So envious of these wolves- they got it all. (Also tanked for years until finding the right formula)

I don't want to watch anymore of this, its downright depressing looking at the difference between them and us. Like at no point, are we even within the same stratosphere as a build goes to look that good. The league could give Miami an extra 20M in cap and we couldn't find a way to add pieces to catch them. So damn depressing how much salary this team has invested on turd contracts, and mediocre players who aren't elite at anything outside of Bam and 10 games out of the year where Jimmy's body feels good enough to give it 100%.

Pat Riley should feel sick inside if hes watching these playoffs and thinks were anywhere close to this level of play. You have to gut half this team, and replace them with elite role players just to get to this level.

Dude, just enjoy the game

I really tried, but I got upset at watching it and turned it off with how it made me feel, comparing the build make up vs what we have just made me almost sick to my stomach. I want to get rest tonight, don't need to linger and toss all night.

They're in the last year of Edwards on his rookie contract and then they have to start dealing with the salary cap which hasn't been an issue yet. I'm wondering how long they'll pay the tax with Towns(49 mil), Gobert(43 mil), Edwards (35 mil, bargain), McDaniels (22 mil), Reid (14 mil), Conley (10 mil), NAW( 5 mil), Moore Jr (2.3), Miller (1.9) and possibly Minott at 2, that's 182 mil with 4 more players needed to reach the 14-man minimum. Conley will be 37 so they're going to have an issue at starting PG in the next couple of years with not very good ways of replacing him.

If Glen Taylor is good at spending a lot of money in taxes (which selling off a good portion of the team means less tax coming out of his pocket), they could keep most of this team together for the next half decade minus a good PG(in a couple of years) until Edwards hits that super max.

Yes. But also surrounding them with the right pieces. They have done so to a tee

Minni is winning this game with defense, no reason they can not continue doing so.

Sure would be nice if Miami had all 5 players on the court who could play good tough defense.

Ugly finish to that quarter for the Wolves .. they need to hit a few shots to start the 4th or it could get tight.

Murray looks shook, throwing heating pads onto the court (should have been a tech) and lost the handle on a layup late in the 3rd.

To be fair our defense has given Denver fits as well (not to this extreme like Minny) but our offense failed us. That's another one of the major differences.

Denver has 65 points over 2 minutes into the 4th, they held them to 99 in the first game. Miami held Denver to under 104 once in the Finals last year. Every game would have been close enough to steal with great defense, even with the poor offense. If you don't have an MVP level offensive talent, hang your hat on defense and shooting 3s.

I guess it's fair to say Murray is playing injured, it sure does change your chances of winning games!

With Jamal Murray hurt Denver really has no chance. As of now in the first 2 games of the series he's 9 of 32 from the field with 6 assists and 5 TOs. Reggie Jackson also injured.
