Oh I've got no questions about that. The post I was responding to was about drafting a generational talent though, we are rarely bad enough to be in that mix.
Problem with that is that there is a much higher probability of getting a bust or average starter than drafting a "generational" talent. Very low probability of getting that. Thus, way too many teams end up sucking arse for 10 years praying to the basketball gods to save them. I say screw that and build your team and create a foundation of hard work then lure elite talent. That and smart drafting and developing role players. Do you really want to watch a bottom feeder for 5 years?
