Oh I've got no questions about that. The post I was responding to was about drafting a generational talent though, we are rarely bad enough to be in that mix.

Problem with that is that there is a much higher probability of getting a bust or average starter than drafting a "generational" talent. Very low probability of getting that. Thus, way too many teams end up sucking arse for 10 years praying to the basketball gods to save them. I say screw that and build your team and create a foundation of hard work then lure elite talent. That and smart drafting and developing role players. Do you really want to watch a bottom feeder for 5 years?

Kind of preaching to the choir here. I’m a fan of some forever mediocre teams in other sports so I probably over-appreciate this organization for the stability and approach to staying in “compete” mode. Do I personally want to watch a bad or tanking team? No, I don’t. You probably have to give this message to those longing for the days of having the best player on the floor every night. The generational guys are considered generational for a reason, the odds we have another Wade caliber player in the next 10-20 years are extremely low.

I appreciate Terry's comments that he's willing to adjust his game to make it work. I wonder if this includes him being open to a bench role?

I don't think we've seen enough of him and Herro together to say its necessary or even anything to be strongly considering yet, but its something to keep at that back of our minds entering the final stretch of the season. It'd allow both of them to be paired with defenders (J Rich or Delon Wright), as well as also be guaranteed more ball handling. Rozier in particular seems to need it, as he doesn't seem to be a great spot up shooter.

We def need a guy who can create points. Once he gets his 3 point shot integrated in to our offense, he could be good.

Rozier has the talent. He is just facing a lot of emotional (finally playing for a purpose and his childhood favorite team), mental (figuring out how to fit in), and now physical (his knee) stress. I hope he figures it out.

Herro needs to start make his training focus that will keep him healthy. Which is different than trying to get bigger and stronger.

The Heat needs a healthy core to prep for the playoffs.

Is there any specific reason why D Wright is not playing?

He doesnt make the cut in the 9 man rotation.

People have to come to terms that Spo uses a 8 to 9 man rotation. Wright wouldnt make the 10 man rotation if Spo decides to expand on his rotation.

I think the big question is what happens to Jovic when Love and Herro returns. Jovic has been a big question mark on how they will utilize him. We already know Jaquez, Herro, Rozier, Martin and Butler will be rotating at point guard which pushes Wright out. And right will get pushed further back when Richardson returns. But how far will Jovic get pushed back is a big question.

1. Adebayo, 2. Butler, 3. Herro, 4. Rozier, 5. Robinson, 6. Jaquez Jr, 7. Martin. 8. Richardson, 9. Highsmith, 10. Jovic, 11. Love

That is 11 players, 2 to 3 more than what Spo likes to use per game.

What does that mean?

First option to score points on a championship team? No.

Lead overall contributor on a championship team? He can continue to develop into that

Trying to get him to be a 2nd option. Butler is the first option. The Heat hasnt had a real second option next to Butler since Dragic run in the bubble. Bam has been showing very good progress at learning how to be a reliable 2nd option.

Well, it means that Unfortunately, I don't think he can still be the most contribution player in the championship team.

It means that to you. I zoom out for the whole picture. Not the pre-made construct of what the box score says is the picture.
