We had enough!

He's right though. If we had gotten good performances from every available player, we could have kept it close.

The "gimmick" is relying your success on an aging good player who only becomes a super star in the playoffs.

Your top players have to produce in the regular season too. Can't pray for a miracle every season just because it happened once (ik, I still marvel at the run we had last year, but it was largely due to luck, injuries and our 3 pt shooting getting hot at the right time)

Disagreed. MPJ, Gordon, Bruce Brown, and Christian Braun are nowhere near the offensive players that Jayson Tatum, Jaylen Brown, and Derrick White are.

I'm not saying Herro would have made a difference in the outcome (he wouldn't have), but using Tatum, Brown, and White as an argument to why Herro can't defend MPJ, Gordon, Braun, etc. is doing the Celtics a major disservice. Tatum, Brown, and White are far better offensively.

Gordon/Brown/MPJ/Murray are bigger/more physical (Other than Brown all the Celtics guys are finesse players) and with Jokic feeding them it would have been worse than what Boston did to him. Any switch other than on KCP and Tyler would be getting run over or bulldozed.

Every game they got off to insurmountable starts due to Herro not being able to defend nearly every single defensive breakdown was cause of Herro.

Other than a microwave off the bench every now and than this guy has no business playing in the playoffs. Offensively he was a joke as well but the defense was that bad you forget about the poor offense.

Well said! I had been preaching it all season long: "Herro should be the 6th man. He can provide a spark off the bench."
