Did you really just ask that?

LOL, please stop. You're killing me!

Marion would be 33, so what. Wade will be close to 29 years old. So going by your age thing. They will not even go after Wade because he is to old..

You're forgetting if if they're paying Marion, there is no cap room for Wade. That's the whole point.

Duh.

If you don't think they will have cap room, go figure.

But considerig Stephon would be out 21 million.

Quentin Richardson out 9.3 million
Jerome James 6.6
Malik Rose 7.6

That is around 44 millon.

Anually.

So how much is Wade and LeBron going to get paid per year.

Like 40 million.

As the lone member of the pro-Mayo camp on the Heat, I gotta say this biggest obstacle is Minny who will be almost certain to pick Mayo at #3. I really think Riley actually wants Mayo, but it's going to be tough to trade down to get him because he will be selected by Min.

I don't know, chances are we will just end up selecting Beasley and go home, but I don't think his fascination with mayo is just a smokescreen. in riley we trust

The Knicks are already over the cap for 2010 even if they don't sign, extend, or draft anyone for two years. That's Curry, Randolph, Crawford, Jeffries and 2-3 other players.

Add Marion's $10 mill to that, and it's absolutely hopeless.

Their plan -- and this is published EVERYWHERE and confirmed by Donnie Walsh himself -- is to be under the cap for 2010. That means dumping big salaries, not adding them. Stockpiling cheap, impactful talent, not giving it away for a chance to add even more salary.

So you still haven't seen the whole angle.

Fist Marion has one year left and less pay than Stephon. They could easily try to trade him in the middle of the season, or just not resign him. Yes they would lose a 6 pick, but is not the end of the world.

The could package Marion and Curry or Jeffries.

To a team that wants Marion, and they would unload another bad contract.

I think the Knicks would be dumb to pass up on Marion.

Heat fans underrate the guy, but many teams will love to have him.

I wouldn't go after that deal.

They could just as easily package #6 with a contract to dump salary.

Combing Marion and Curry as a salary dump would mean you have to find a team with like $35 million in expirings to send back to you. Package #6 and Curry, you might just have something.

Any way you slice it -- and you've tried everything now -- giving away #6 for the right to pay an aging player big money doesn't fit their stated plan.

I think the Knicks would be dumb to pass up on Marion.

Marion's a terrific player, nobody is saying otherwise.

The point, again, is that giving away #6 for the right to pay him big money does not fit the Knicks stated plan for 2010.

That's not a diss on Marion, so please stop presenting it as such. OK?

ROFLMAO :rofl2:

This logic is immense.

So, if the Knicks are dumb to pass on Marion, what does that make us for trading him?

I don't even know if the Heat should waste one year 21 million, while losing a real good trading asset, just to obtain the 6 pick.
Does it sound like am for this trade.

This was one of my previous quotes.

What about
Clippz Trade-#7, Maggatee, Mobley
Clippz Get- Baron

Miami Trades-#2,Blount
Miami gets-Sjax,#7,#14

Warriors Trade-Sjax, Baron,#14
Warriors Get-#2,Cory,Mobley, Blount

Miami could then trade both picks to take Mayo or see if Bayless or Lopez or Love drops to them at 7 then take whom ever available at 14 likes of Rush, Westbrook, Jordan

I doubt the Warriors would trade Jax...

But what would we do with him? Stick him in the rotation with Marion and Dorrell?
Nah I think we should pass on that trade, Beasley would end up better for us anyways.

Return to Miami Heat
