complete nonsense with absolutely zero evidence.

I think it's just common sense? If you're a GM, you'd be stupid to make a blockbuster trade without even informing your perennial MVP. This is the player's league.

They purposely didn’t ask Giannis because they didn’t want to put him in a difficult/awkward position.

There's been countless stories of giannis saying he wanted to play with him. The one where he and Pat recruited him some text chain etc. Giannis was on board with that trade move 100%.

Giannis truthers trying to spin this narrative that Giannis didn’t want Dame or that he wasn’t pushing for a big trade now

Let’s not forget Giannis and Dame have the same mutual contact which is Chris Haynes. Let’s also not forget the intel from Chris Haynes that Giannis was thinking about Portland before his 2020 extension with the Jrue trade.

And lets not forget the trade was the clear cut correct. Of ocurse it could still end up bad in hindsight, this could all tumble down and he's out next summer. He could tear his ACL tomorrow and you're on the hook for that contract. But at the time it was clear cut correct trade. And 3-4 bad games doesn't change that. Dame has been right in his norms this year, he's not been this trainwreck bum being portrayed here over a couple bad games. He is clearly disgruntled though

That was years before. When the actual trade happened, there was a report that management didn’t ask Giannis because they didn’t want to put him in that position.

Agree. We'd be an even bigger disaster if we kept Jrue. Jrue is cooked.

It wouldn't surprise me if they didn't make him say the words "yes trade Jrue". But there is no doubt Giannis was on board with this trade.

Multiple things can be true. Gianni was torn about trading Jrue and sincerely cares about him, couldn't believe that Dame was actually available and gave Horst a tacit endorsement behind the scenes.
