I never really understood why the 6ers why chose him because he plays the position of their best player. Right now they have Reggie Evans as their starter, and CV could come in be the starter for them. CV IMO is a perfect fit for them. Next to an elite shotblocker and a SF who can defend.
With Young we get a guy with crazy athleticism and tons of upside. From what I recall we were pretty high on him. His draft profile.

Also we get to dump a lot of mins on Yi, and I'm fine with ruffin being the primary back up PF.

Ouch. I have never seen such a low opinion of him before. He is only 19.
I haven't seen him at all on the 6ers, so I don't know how well he is doing this year. Trading CV for the 12th pick last year sounds about right value wise.

That could be.
On the other hand they have Reggie frickin Evans as their starting PF.
I guess it also depends how they are on Jason Smith. From what I have seen of him he decent.

I'd do it in a second. I had Young ranked higher than Brewer on my "draft board" and would love to nab him.
However I doubt Philly is interested in trading him for CV. Young is starting to produce now that he has been given some playing time. He's a very good prospect - at the beginning of last season, he was ranked right up there with Durant in terms of potential. That's since been proven to be very unlikely to occur but he it shows how highly people though of him coming out of high school.
