Rolling Stone just ranked SF games. Now I want to fight the dick head who made this list.

SF2 not being top, much less top 3, is an impeachable offense.

Thank you. I was hoping I wasn’t just old.

Like, on one hand, I'm all for remembering that nostalgia is a powerful drug and that sometimes old games just don't hold up. But SF2 is phenomenal still today and there hasn't been enough **** added to The Fighting Game* archetype to justify not having it at the top, especially considering its place in history.

I looked about an hour ago and SF V Champion Edition was available in my library because of PS+. I haven't played a SF game since the week V came out, and I don't think I played IV. That I can jump in and pull of specials and combos in 2023 that I mastered in 1993 speaks of how much SF II holds up.

Street Fighter 6 reviews are out today and it’s scoring really well. I said this near the end of the old thread, but you love to see the confidence Capcom has had in its recent games. Both RE4 Remake and SF6 had full demos weeks before launch, extensive hands-on previews, and lifted review embargoes a week before launch. It’s commendable of them that they didn’t hold their cards until the last minute to preserve pre-order numbers like Redfall, nor did they (seemingly) put out something in an unoptimized state like Jedi Survivor. Seems like a low bar, but it’s nice to see.

Reviews look excellent, excited to play it.

There's just an insane number of games I want to play right now and this summer, so not sure when I will. I have a long way to go in Zelda; waiting on D4 reviews, but suspect I'll pick it up at launch given my ARPG fandom; SF6; Final Fantasy 16 is high on my list, and top of mind I can't recall, but I believe the second FF7R episode comes out in the fall, too; haven't played Jedi Survivor yet; and I there'll be a new POE league somewhere in there, too.

Jesus. I'm going to need to get pick-and-choosy.

Looks like Diablo is gonna swallow my life whole. It'll be nice to take a break from Zelda for a while.

I had little faith Diablo IV was going to be good based on Blizzard’s recent track record. Happy it’s good, but I’ll probably wait to get it at a discount around the holidays or next year.

I skipped Zelda because I knew I'd be all about Diablo as soon as it launched.

With a baby expected any week now I can't get too invested in any game. That's why I'll likely stick to 30-60 minute sprees of Zelda whenever I can get them.

I have absolutely no clue what Diablo is but I’m intrigued. We did just however pickup EA PGA, WWE and Super Mega Baseball 4 and I have a wealth of games I must yet finish and/or start (Horizon :FW, Hogwarts Legacy, Witcher 3, Elden Ring) I find myself playing games less and less, though my kids still very much enjoy them so all is not lost when buying. Can the entire game of diablo 4 be played in coop or does it have limitations?

As far as I've seen the entirety of D4 can be played coop. It's an ARPG like Path of Exile, Titan Quest, Torchlight, Van Helsing, Tochlight, etc if you've ever played any of those.

They should just let us play Diablo tonight, why make us wait another day.

Yeah I caved and got the deluxe edition. I rationalized it as buying the S1 battle pass (which it is), and then an extra $10 for playing all weekend during which I have no plans. And I'm fine with that.

You guys know what class you're going to play first? I like minion builds but sounds like they kinda suck.
