Well that was one of the things I wanted this offseason in some kind of assistant shake-up. Not that I had anything against this coach, I have some connections to him and he seems like a perfectly good person from my interactions and all I've ever heard. He had seemed to have hopes of getting a HC job at a mid major type as soon as this year but I'm not sure if that's realistic but I'm sure he'll land on his feet. Now, please get a shooting coach.

Speaking of - I actually sorta hope Joe leaves, because I feel like he could end up turning into a sparkplug young HC that guys gravitate to, and maybe with the moxie to excel in this new era we're in. And it'd be nice to have that out of a guy with UW ties, but he needs some experience somewhere first.

Krabbenhoft should be bringing in absurd NIL money unless there is something illegal about family members of staff paying the players.

Last night Gard said they tripled their NIL budget, so I'm not sure they're gonna get Storr but hopefully they are a player to fill the roster out nicely.

Freitag just tweeted about how great Gard is from surgery recovery. Anybody know what that’s about or what the surgery was for?

I've heard nothing of that rumor but it also does have elements that would make sense. The funny thing is that I've been the biggest Chucky stan while most hated him his first few years due to having to be the alpha as a sophomore when he was not cut out for that...

If the rumor came true and he left with his friend...it's the portal era and I'm not sure I'd care that much? He's one of the last guys that I would want to see leave, but unless they did it at the very last moment, the Badgers could recover by offering starting minutes and a bag of cash to several players.

I heard it from a friend of the program. But it was sourced publicly on locked on badgers podcast this week

Interesting and makes some sense. Obviously, getting stuck at the end of musical chairs of portal kombat sucks - but I don't think it would be a death sentence. Sounds like we have a decent amount of cash and could probably get a solid stopgap before Freitag takes over if that happened. Though, again - out of the upperclassmen, Hepburn is probably the one I would least like to see leave.

Fidler is announcing on Omaha radio and told the host he "does not want to go far from home" so I'm going to guess Creighton or maybe Nebraska. Fire up those Chucky rumors!
