I wouldn't lose sleep on ESPN fellatiating or making excuses Boston, as natural as the sun rising in the east. Should be expected. The NBA is long past due dealing with the terrible quality of its regular season games, 3 point spamming is going to kill basketball like 3TO destroyed baseball but Silver loves fellatiating Steph Curry and the other soft ass "shooters" in this league that benefit off illegal screens and freedom of movement BS. Of course the issue is blamed on not enough rest, it aint that.

Rockets are on a B2B at Boston tonight. FVV played 42, Sengun 37, Smith 40, Green 39. I'm sure Boston will decline counting the win in the standings.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

You think Kareem was better?

Kareem was incredible in ways that might be difficult to appreciate today. He was in no way as versatile as Giannis. Giannis is like a hand grenade, waiting to explode at any time, on either end of the court with a great assist, a breakaway steal, a spectacular drive/slam, a running come from behind block, a pair of unlikely 3-pointers. Giannis epitomizes the thrill of unpredictability that can turn a drive to the basket into a teammate 3-point bomb.

Kareem was a methodical assassin. Dump the ball to him on the low block and he would calculatedly score a sky hook. He would get rebounds around the hoop. He would deter and block shots near the basket. Wash, rinse, repeat. Over and over. Kareem epitomized the thrill of predictability. An unstoppable force that could reliably accomplish the same positive result again and again.

Kareem was better than Giannis in many ways, as his game fit perfectly into the schemes of the times. He was unstoppable in the role that that he was called upon to fill, never called upon to do it all by himself. Giannis' game is a unique bundle of talents that scream for a customized scheme with very specific pieces surrounding him. Giannis is capable of doing it all without help, but he can't do it all every time or over and over.

Kareem seems to be a consensus top 3 in history. I don't think anybody seriously considers Giannis anywhere near that

Well said. High school, college, and pro, Kareem was a true transformative player. When they have to change the rules to ban the dunk because of your dominance, that's a pretty strong thing to put on your resume. When you own the career scoring mark for decades, that's also a point in your favor.

Take nothing away from what Giannis is or may become before he's through. It's not a knock on him to say he might not be as good as one of the all-time greats.

Absolutely. Kareem was incredible. Gianni is as well but Kareem was much more polished coming into the league and sustained insane production for a long time. He was Finals MVP in 1971 and 1985.
