I'm looking at some buying on the dip opportunities but nothing I've found so far for my non retirement investing. I'll just let my 401K keep doing that.

I'm holding on to what I have, I don't believe their AI revenue was much of a factor in this weeks earnings as it was announced mid Q2. There was definitely some hype involved in their latest run but their potential inclusion into the S&P 500 along with future AI customers makes it a good buy and hold candidate in my book. If you're trying to flip quick then I probably wouldn't as it's anyone's guess as their valuation is still incredibely high. If it dips below my average I might sell a stinker of a stock I have to get more but for now I'm not looking much and am confident that she will pay off handsomely in the long term.

It is "frozen", but I think she got scammed.

I misread. Thought the bank froze her account not the wallet.

PUBM was a good dip opportunity after yesterday I think. Got in at $12.30 today.

I'll tell you what a solid investment would have been and that the solid investment wold be a titanium drill bit set, a laser measure, perhaps a weighty hammer with a good swing. Stanley makes great tools.

If Al Borland is out, I'm out.

I forgot all about NFT's. I guess the grifters made their money and have moved on.

My NFT buddy has sure been quiet for the last 6 months. He put THOUSANDS into NFTs of all kinds, a weed growing pod that had an NFT, a VR metaverse called Glewme City that sucks, and so much more.

Now he won't shut up about Web3 and that integration. Either way, so glad I never touched NFTs (outside of the NBA playcards ones that I was very profitable on.)

Yeah, it's all over but the lawsuits and pending prosecutions. NFTs may have a future in an alternate universe, though. Like the Curryverse.

DOW is down another 300 so far today. Down over 1700 over the last 3 weeks. Market correction, or bubble starting to burst?

September is historically the worst month. But I'm not sure when the bleeding stops. 401K I just keep maxing out. Outside of retirement I'm holding what I have but not buying anything. I'm fine getting around 5% with my cash.

Watch on YouTube

This is a few weeks old now (and well over two hours long), but it's the best dive into what actually happened with meme stocks that I've seen. If you've watched his previous video on crypto and NFTs, you'll see a lot of similar (and distressing) patterns where a bunch of disaffected, depressed, and lonely people (largely young men) convince themselves that their get-rich-quick cult is actually an economic revolution.

If I ever become the head of a large multi-billion dollar fraud, I'm running. Like my friends me can visit me at a Cambodian beach resort I own. The public will hate whether I rot in prison or on a beach.

I know DK had an earnings beat but they still lost money. I didn't dig into the details but how the hell do they lose money?

Marketing is a big expense, per an article on Yahoo they dropped 981.5 million on sales & marketing in 2021. The rest I imagine is tech & salaries. I think there's a big push to become a monopoly of sorts in the future so companies are dumping a bunch into ads and what not so they can be the top dog when it isn't viable for new companies to emerge in the field.

I'm wondering if the fantasy sports part of their business is taking a hit with the increase in sports betting. I know I used to do DK all the time and now I don't, I can bet on games. DK does do sports betting in a number of states although WI isn't one of them.

I'm probably in the minority - the majority of the reason I don't do daily fantasy is I simply don't have time in my life anymore...however:

1. I quit after the "insider trading" stuff that happened several years ago. I'm sure that's kinda rectified now.
2. More importantly, every time I consider coming back - the rake they take is stupid. I know most people are just paying $10/week to have some fun and may not care, but unless it is your full-time job, you're not going to hit the success rate it takes to be profitable due to how much DK takes per entry.
