174 day season is insane.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

According to a Reddit thread about the Lakers, the cap hit is prorated and by days left in the season. 174 total days.
If this is true then it 100% makes sense why they're waiting. Just hope we have a handshake deal with Gallo that he gets a nice little vacation and then signs with us in a couple weeks. Just has to be before March 1st.

Latest ESPN straw poll has Jokic and SGA 1 and 2 for MVP. Giannis a distant 3rd, Luka 4th. Jokic has 69 first place votes, SGA has 24, Giannis 3, Luka 4. 13 of the 100 voters didn't even have Giannis top 5. Ridiculous.
"Antetokounmpo is averaging 30.8 points, 11.4 rebounds and 6.3 assists while shooting 61.1% from the field, but his individual brilliance has been overshadowed by a tumultuous season for the Bucks, who fired first-year coach Adrian Griffin in late January."

I think with the proration they can sign him now. Something like 719K would be the cap hit today if my math is correct(debatable). (174-112)/174*2.019).Ron Swanson wrote:pifhluk23 wrote:crkone wrote:Yep you're right. With an 8 day break upcoming it would make sense to sign someone this week and have them ready to go when practice resumes next week.

The level of play from those 3, Luka, and even Embiid who was clearly the favorite before he went out is crazy. You probably can pick a name out of a basket and it’ll be right because all guys are crazy efficient, good/great passers, good team records, and decent/great defenders. The advanced stats love them all too. I think I would go SGA right now but anybody has a chance. If I had money to waste I would probably throw some on Luka sneaking away with it at the end.

I don't think Gallo is all that helpful?

People that like KM and don't want Gallo on a minimum are interesting because they basically do the same things at the same speed except Gallo is more efficient and can cover 4s / some 5s on D... I'd LOVE if KM could cover 4s

Was responding to Paul on Twitter about our main need (imo) being an athletic 4/5 that can switch on D, cause we have no insurance up front if one of Giannis/Brook/Bobby gets hurt in the playoffs.
He asked who. Got me thinking.
Why not take a flyer on Nerlens Noel? Give him a 10-day contract after the All Star break, see what he does, see what Doc thinks of him?

Doc using logic and common sense to put players in optimal positions to succeed relative to their strengths and skill sets. Props to Horst and Giannis for recognizing an egregious mistake in the Griffin hire and immediately addressing it. Now we can all get back to our regularly scheduled program of chasing a title.

Eh, the second Noel lost even a little bit of his athleticism is the second he stopped being a useful part-time rotation player. Wenyen Gabriel is better.

Noel played 17 games last season and 25 the season before that. Considering I can't find any info on him playing anywhere this year, I'm guessing he's content sitting at home.

Great article. Love the maybe not so subtle shot at Griffin when Doc said "I think we are understanding what he can’t do, and we try not to put him in those positions." It is great that you can see things out there that they were clearly coached to do. Nothing like that from Griffin...other than crash the boards.

I like to think I'm interesting for other things but thanks I guess also Donatello and Khris Sweat both can cover 4s and 5s in that they are equally ill-equipped to do so.
ETA: Actually, switch that. I want to be the guy known solely for that as my interesting attribute. Gonna be the lead line on my tinder profile. Just in time for Valentine's Day.

Don't understand the Giannis hate and where it came from. 100 percent total bias. Going to be all the much sweeter when he's hoisting another championship trophy over his head THIS YEAR

The Giannis discourse among non Bucks fans/media today might be as **** stupid as I’ve ever seen it. Griffin being a dunce on a level unseen since 2016 Kidd has pretty much killed Giannis’ chances of MVP this season. There’s already been an obvious bias against him for years now but Griffin tanking our defense for 43 games and now the “got coach fired” narrative is just the ammo they needed to dismiss 34 entirely.
Winning the chip is the only thing that’ll shut them up and even that will only be temporary.

Windhorst doesn’t have Giannis in his top 5 for mvp right now. Holy ****
