Hayward would be a great get if he indeed agrees to a buyout with the Hornets. I imagine he’d be courted by a few teams but would surely have some interest coming to play here?

Brook, Pat and Marjon to GS for Wiggy, Looney, Podziemski, and Jackson~Davis. Not a fan of Wiggy but we get two young guys who could be very good role players. THen fllp Bobby for a center.

We wouldn't be allowed to get him as a buyout. Makes too much.

Why would Golden State do this? Unless we have pictures of Steve Kerr on Epstein island, I think this might be a 2k trade.

They want a big and would want to get rid of Wiggy who is on a very bad deal.

I don't know if they want to get rid of Wiggins to the point that they would punt Looney and two young promising rotation guys to do so. He's not THAT negative of an asset is he?

He was great last year but it was a contract year. He is shooting 42 from the field. 29 from 3. 4 rebounds and 1.5 assit and 2.5 to per 26mpg. That's alot of mola for alot of nohing on the court.

Oh that sucks. New CBA rule?

Yes. No one over the 2nd tax apron can sgn him. There are 8 teams over including the Bucks.

The buyout market is useless anyway. Goran Dragic wasn't exactly a world beater.

Marc Gasol was though. Knowing we're a bit skinny in a couple of spots, we could've got some useful help via buyouts but such is life.

So $12.405 million or above is off-limits to us.

There may be some below, depending on deadline transactions. Covington comes to mind.

Fotis St wrote:Portis and Giannis can eat all the minutes at the 5.

So for the 96 minutes of the PF, C spots we will have Portis, Giannis and the 6"6 Crowder. This will be the thinnest frontline in the league. Not to mention that while Brook gets exposed defensively by certain teams/players Portis gets exposed every single defensive possession

RiotPunch wrote:Yeah, don't think OKC sells that low on Giddey. I like the premise, though, if Chicago is willing to trade Caruso and OKC pays the necessary picks for Bobby. Obviously love Jaylin as a Bobby replacement.

With the takeaway from your trade board idea being that OKC would need to add a little value in order to get Bobby, that Bertans + Jaylin + worst ‘24 first isn’t quite enough (also assuming that pat had neutral value), do you think instead of making it a better first, we could swap Bertans for Kenrich?

Thinking of Portland here.

Mke: thybulle, Kenrich, Jaylin Williams
Okc: Bobby, brown
Por: Pat, marjon, worst ‘24 first from okc (or ‘25 first if Portland wants to spread their assets out a little, also we could add our 2nd, too)

I know there’s a pretty big difference between trading a rotational player vs non-rotational player, and Kenrich is currently 8th in mpg on OKC, but he’s still only getting 15 per game. Jaylin 11. They would be able to give all those minutes to bobby.

So Houston is looking for a backup big, and a shooter. Does the emergence of Cam Whitmore allow them to deal is Eason? The deal:

Houston gets: Portis, Beasley
Jazz get: Olidipo, Payne, 2- 2nd via Houston, 1- 2nd via Milwaukee
Bucks get: Eason, Dunn, Yertseven

Brook Yertseven
Giannis Eason Crowder
Middleton Eason Pat
Dame Dunn
Dunn AJJ Marjon AJG

Id like a better backup center, open to suggestions, but it's immaterial come playoff time when Giannis plays more 5, next to Eason.

This Bucks team is suddenly serious defensively, with a ton of versatility, and can still shoot the 3.

On paper I like the Jazz a lot as a potential trade partner and I’ve used them myself in trade ideas as a team I think some of their players could upgrade our roster. But I see 2 problems with Utah, 1. They’re right in the thick of things in the west and playing a lot better so dismantling the roster seems more unlikely and 2. Dealing with Dick-anny Ainge is always going to be an issue no matter what the trade is. Still feasible but I’m not sure I see it as clearly as I did just a few weeks ago. That ship may have sailed on us.
