Brought our C- effort and won wire to wire. Gotta take it.

On to the next one.

I'd have to go back and see who it was, but there was a Magic player on court counting to ten with his fingers in the air during one of Giannis's FTs late.

Yeah, agree, but it wasn't exactly a wire-to-wire win (if I have the meaning correct). Orlando led for all of the second quarter bar the last minute.

Quality win.

At the same time, they need to fix that defense. The Wagner boys had their way in the paint on offense. You could watch the same play develop over and over again.

We gave up two offensive boards in the last 17 seconds. If we actually rebounded them it stays at around the 10 point margin it was all game.

One of the new posters said something like if we allow one less basket a game then we move to a mid-pack defense. I wonder if sometimes we look at stats and read numbers but don't think about what it means practically.

For those that missed it, Giannis took an elbow to the ribs and i think that was what was bothering him down the stretch. Lots of fluke things happening on Giannis dunks and layups, not sure if everything was injury related. This was a weird game, to me. We didnt play exceptional defense but we were still able to hold them off when it looked like they were about to overtake us. We didn't play great offense but we seemed to get buckets when it mattered..sort of. Dame didn't really have it tonight. The refs were really swallowing the whistle on his drives and he didn't appear too interested in searching for his 3 ball unless there was an opportunity to try and create a foul. Overall, a C+ Bucks performance and still a relatively easy win against a solid team. I'll take it.

I still dont think most of the Bucks respect the Magic, just based on how we played. Giannis was the only one who really had any urgency (the way he came out of the gate was absolutely remarkable). looking forward to seeing the team on a bigger stage coming up here.

Keep in mind that Orlando is a very good defensive team - 4th in PPG against at 110.1. We scored 118. We also only gave up 1 more point than Orlando averages per game, but they scored that garbage three at the end, so we basically held them below their season average.

Payne
Beasley
Middleton
Portis
Lopez

Was a rough lineup to start the 4th. Any news on Dre? Seven minutes is wild if there is no injury. Grief's rotations in general are questionable. Credit to the talent of this team to overcome and get the W.

Good win, not an easy opponent.

Giannis FT shooting was excellent.

Dame is amazing in that he can have a crap game and give you 24/5/8. Wow.

Ajj going from starter 20+ minutes to 6 minutes non impact bench player in a couple days is annoying.

I’ll give Griff a pass on the Ajax minutes if he’s still dealing with any lingering back issues, but it is annoying that his minutes keep getting messed with. Even though he’s a rookie, he makes winning plays outside of scoring the ball and it has had a positive impact in games. Him developing a 3 ball is just the cherry on top.

I was not a big fan of Jae last year but given our considerably worse defense this year, I am eagerly waiting for Jae’s return. I don’t know if we can get any good defensive player via trade plus whatever ag has done has not resulted in a strong defense even though there has been some improvement. Jae to the rescue for our perimeter defense!

Jackson was a -8 in 7-minutes in the first half. He was running around aggressively, but often out of position defensively. The potential is there, but he has a way to go. Beauchamp was much more effective and got more minutes as a result.
