There’s no team today without him. RIP.

I should have mentioned that I met Senator Kohl once with my wife in whatever the social club at the Bradley Centre was called, and thanked him for his efforts in keeping the team in Milwaukee. I think he was a somewhat shocked that a random Australian would come up and say that to him, he seemed a little surprised.

I don't think I'd ever pretend to have had any influence on anything that happened in the future, but I'm so satisfied that he got to see a championship in Milwaukee.

RIP Herb

I met him once in DC way back in the day. He seemed genuine and kind and didn't give off the smarmy vibe I've gotten from other politicians. I am happy for him that he got to witness a championship for the team he so obviously loved.

He was a good man, a loyal fan, and a true friend to Milwaukee.

I dont go to alot of Bucks games but I was there the night the sale to the new ownership group became official and the BC gave Herb a standing ovation. I also picked my seats at the Mecca for Panther games based on his astute lifelong seats midcourt eye level with the players. "The Herb Kohl Seats" Thanks for keeping our team in Milwaukee lots of joy because of his steadfast championing of Wisconsin, Milwaukee and the Bucks.

This. I shared a flight with him and Russ Feingild. Herb was so gracious. He talked with people, listened, engaged with those who he talked with. Hard not to be proud thst he was one who represented our state, our city, our team, ultimately.

Those were the days, when Kohl and Feingold were WI's senators.

I remember meeting Sen. Kohl too, at the Capitol. I was just out of college, touring the building with a friend who worked there. Got in an elevator and guess who's there too, it's the Senator. I made eye contact and said Go Bucks! A really big grin came over his face. :) We had a brief conversation, told him I was originally from Milwaukee... Nice guy and definite Bucks fan who represented the state well as a senator and businessman.

I received letters of recommendation from kohl and feingold to go to West Point, I untimately turned down the Kohl one (so someone else could receive it). It was an honor. Thank you for saving our Bucks too.

Very thankful for everything he did to keep my team in my state. Others have said it, but there’s no championship, no board, no team if he doesn’t do that. RIP.

Also this board was an absolute riot when we sucked.

Last time I cried and one of the few as an adult was seeing Herb on the jumbotron at the ring ceremony. Does not get enough respect for what he has done for the city.

Even beyond the Bucks he and his family left marks all over the city. Kohl's grocery and department stores, even his Milk House at the state fair. And recently funding hundreds if not thousands of teachers' classroom wish lists. He did things the right away.
