Wish Doc would play him over Beas more. He's a more consistent shooter and plays way better defense.

We'll get plenty of AJG next year when he's the starter. Beasley took a prove it deal, proved it and now he's going to get paid and regress next year, hopefully not with us.

His first game out was so bad. I just didn't see anything. Now I want him to play every game. He's like our pre-contract Duncan Robinson except he can kinda make dudes' lives hard on D.

His size and athletic limitations are always gonna hurt him in the playoffs, but you gotta like what you've seen from the dude. Feels like he's graduated from having a Matt Thomas type ceiling, to having a Jodie Meeks type ceiling.

We should continue playing AJG, Bev probably should start, AJJ should get min 12 min per game. Who's minutes should suffer? Anyone who isn't hustling on D or hitting wide open shots.

I’ve always thought AJ was an underrated worker and athlete, passes eye test to me as an NBA player. Matt Thomas is a total shrimp in comparison.

He never had a Matt Thomas ceiling because of his shooting release.

He now has legit stregnth and lateral quickness, and that raises the ceiling for him.

I've never really felt like green looks small when he's on the floor and he's a good enough athlete. If his shot is consistent enough, there's no reason he can't be Beasley or even Beasley plus next year.

I don't get why you guys keep obsessing over this. Like yeah, it's great, but he's still strictly a catch and shoot guy. 34.6% on pull-ups, 0.94 PPP coming off screens (41st percentile). It doesn't meaningfully impact his offensive upside beyond being a catch and shoot floor-spacer. But yes, it's the defensive improvement that's been a revelation. Garrison Matthews with better defense is a solid rotation player.

AJG has a 6-9 wingspan (Beasley 6-7) It's why he can defend, same with Dame who has a 6-8 wingspan.

I see 6-7 for the wingspan. Either way he is proving himself to be a good defender. There is no reason he shouldn’t be solidly in the rotation. He’s also a really good rebounder.

Guys, he measured a 6'7 wingspan at the G-league combine. It's fine, nothing special. I don't really care about wingspan with guards though, that's not what makes you a good perimeter defender (see: Jrue, Lowry).

The AJ Green defense on Maxey was impressive. I didn’t expect him to be the young guy to step up and join the rotation but I think we are there.

Green being a solid rotational player who can actually play in a potential ECF series would be massive considering the recent track record of young dudes on this team. Hopefully Doc and the coaches see the film and give him consistent minutes. A couple of plays Gianni even set him up in a specific spot to get him open looks while Dame was bringing the ball up.
