Ya, I don't.

I just don't get the comments about the coaching. If you're going to lay the blame on Doc, then tell me what he should have done differently. At least when I criticized Bud, I tried to be as specific as I could.

Was it Docs fault that except for Giannis there was not one player on the starting five who can attack the basket?

Is it his fault that the Bucks have one of the slowest teams in the league?
Yeah I agree. Its time to focus on the players

Bud was co-GM with Horst.

The one thing I keep going back to is how dumb it was to bring back Brook when the Rockets sign and trade was there for the taking. The Bucks had the perfect out (a disappointing playoff loss and a team looking to throw money around). It wasn’t a situation where you were losing the salary slot, you could retain it through the S&T.

Here's a hint: If you're going to blame any of this on Giannis (I do blame him for dumb three point shots), then tell me what he should have done differently when he was doubled and triple teamed every time he was in the paint.

And what should Doc have done differently? Neither Doc nor Giannis are above criticism, but the comments on here are just total overreactions with no meat on the bone.

I'll check back tomorrow to see if there are any insights worth commenting on.

Issue with this team is the roster.

That's on Giannis. Just sit if you're too hurt.

Disagree. Giannis is gonna wanna play even if he has one leg in a cast. It's on the coaches to make that decision.

Nah. Giannis is the most powerful person in the entire organization. He does what he wants, including shooting dumbass threes.

If the coaches/medical staff tells him he needs to sit, he'll sit.

Eye test, but feels like there is more ball movement and off ball movement with Dame as the alpha (when Giannis is out).

His leg isn't broke. He can clearly still play. It's his call.

Giannis has all the sway. They let him hire a coach and employ all of his brothers. If he says he's going to play he's going to play lmao

Not only that but we brought Brook back knowing full well the coach we just hired didn't want to use him the same way he'd been used the last 5 seasons. Another incredible loss for Jon Horst.

So you think all the times he's sat over the years for load management was his call?

Bud was his coach. I doubt the dynamics are the same now.

Brook should've been traded in 2022 after the Boston series. He's too match-up specific, and the better teams with good guard play and shooting will play him off the floor.

Yeah, this team had me fooled for a couple weeks after the all star break.

Even when I was fooled/happy, I was paranoid I was being fooled. I didn't totally trust it, it didn't feel right. My feeling was...The Bucks actually look legit, this can't actually be true, can it?

You can only imagine how much of a sucker I feel like now, after all my paranoid feelings have proven to be 110% spot on.

Between December of 2022 and April 2024, there has been about a 2 or 3 week period where I didn't think the Bucks were overrated frauds...and in those 2 or 3 weeks I was fooled.

Never again.

I've been saying trade Brook before it was cool (also when it probably wasn't a good idea). I like the Packers mindset of let them go a year too early rather than a year too late.

When Giannis plays and Dame sits, I honestly wouldn't be able to tell which team was 14-61 if I didn't know the records.

When Dame plays and Giannis sits, the Bucks still look like a playoff team.

I have been pretty harsh when it comes to Dame this season.

But facts are facts when comes comes to Giannis vs Dame sitting out.

Yes it's Doc's fault. We were 3rd in the league in pace before he got here. We're 15th since he started coaching.

https://www.nba.com/stats/teams/advanced?DateFrom=01/29/2024&DateTo=04/05/2024&dir=A&sort=PACE

He doesn't play the young guys. It's our only way to develop more talent. It also gives them experience so they're ready when veterans need rest. Griffin played AJJ and Marjon regularly and still had a 30-13 record. That's 100% on Doc.

Our defense isn't any better. We're 23th in defensive rating over the last 15 games. Only in 3 games previously he coached against the Hornets did our defense look good.
https://www.nba.com/stats/teams/advanced?DateFrom=01/29/2024&DateTo=04/05/2024&LastNGames=15&dir=A&sort=DEF_RATING

And this is all happening before the playoffs, where Doc's history truly sucks.

He had a career year coming off of a back surgery at like 36 years old. There has never been a bigger flashing sign of “TRADE THIS GUY NOW” than that lol. Absolutely infuriating.

Can't imagine the medical staff messing up on this one but still makes me nervous seeing Giannis grab at his hamstring over and over.

Horst spotted getting a head start on the 2024 offseason. Criticize the man all you want, he is always on the scouting trail!
