Let's just hire Sabrina Ionescu as the 3pt coach

Good call, her shooting coach is Chris Brickley

That sounds like a Pun if he was MCW's shooting coach.

Absolutely hated how they used him (or lack thereof) in SL, so here's hoping that preseason looks better when he's actually surrounded with NBA talent. He can literally do everything at a high level outside of put the ball through the hoop (which is admittedly like, pretty important in basketball...).

Michael Redd was actually pretty bad on threes in college too.

Lonzo was 41% on 3s in college.

I think they were mentioning him as someone who rebuilt his shooting form. The shooting coach in New Orleans did a ton of work with Lonzo while he was there, sounded like they tore it down and rebuilt it from scratch.

Yes, Lonzo came into the league as a right handed shooter who shot the ball from his left shoulder.

This means less power which meant way less accuracy from the NBA line.

He completely rebuilt his shot

Worth checking out. Sam Vecenie has been the most ardent booster of Dre and this episode of LOB allows him plenty of room to flesh out his appeal.

Pretty funny that Jaylin Williams hit 46 3s last year and not 47.

No issue with Marjon even if Jaylin is better and younger. The shame in that draft was that it probably wouldn't have been that hard to trade up for a truly exciting prospect.

That the prospect is Walker Kessler is extremely funny to me.

Still rather have Mark Williams. At any rate, glad we got Dre.

On the plus side, Jaylin Williams completely reworking his shot at least gives me some hope that AJJ can do the same.

haha. I just thought it was funny how close to the exact number.

I loved Jaylin Williams last draft but I shared your exact concerns at the time.

If we add a near Brogdon level player to this current team like you think AJJ may be, the league is screwed.

AJJ seems like a guy who has potential to be able to throw him out there and he will basically do everything well outside of shooting. If they figure out a way to have him on the court without it being 4 on 5 on offense, the league is screwed.

Having him and Giannis roaming on D would just wreck other teams’ offenses.

I hope they give him minutes early on so he can grow through mistakes.

I just keep thinking of draymond while watching AJJ.

I know that’s a pretty lazy one on my end, and I never expect Andre to be that level of a defender, but I think he can be very good on that end.

The thing that I think Andre actually has over draymond is his offensive processing speed, and with that, I’m not terribly concerned about his shot.

Wide open threes that aren’t taken don’t necessarily kill offenses unless it’s late in the shot clock, or it’s at the end of an elimination game 5 in the playoffs. I think the thing that more often kills possessions is when those situations lead to a complete offensive reset, which is also pretty common for bad or hesitant shooters.

BUT

I think Andre would be perfectly capable of catching, attacking the space that the defense gives, and quickly reacting/passing while on the move. He has too many highlights where he does that in college, and throws a quick lob to a big as soon as a defender takes a single step to him. It’s astronomically quick, and can absolutely be utilized in the nba.

The fact that we have ungodly amounts of scoring in the starting lineup and just drafted the best glue guy in recent NCAA history is almost too much.

He's said he likes watching guys like Draymond. So you're not that off.

Have to think maybe Horst was considering AJJ taking over for Jrue if we moved him for Dame. Talks since July & inquiries for years.
