Well they're both going to be in the Finals so there's that.

Listening to Tony Smith tonight on Homer and Gabe.....he was pretty adamant that the Bucks best chance to win a championship is to trade for Demar DeRozan.

Homer and Gabe were at least smart enough to basically say WTF.

Heller and Dolphin off 97.3. Czabe just said Dario, Brian Butch and Armen will be replacing them.
Heller moving back to afternoon drive on the Madison station.

Don't necessarily listen to that station. Need your help in translating. Didn't one station let Dario go a couple weeks ago?

And is this the end of Heller in Milwaukee? Was a nice guy, but boring as all get out.

Ah yes, notorious playoff man DeMar Derozan

Yeah Dario is coming back to the same station that he was let go from. So whereas for the past few weeks on 97.3 it’s been Czaban, Heller & Dolphin, Davis & Needles, and Drew & K.B., it will now be Czaban, Dario & Butch & Armen, Davis & Needles , and Drew & K.B.

So no Heller in Milwaukee and also no Drew & K.B. in Madison on 1070 since Heller is moving into that slot.

This is calling out pretty much all the national writers who have spent the season talking themselves out of the Bucks. A stugotzian "do it in the playoffs" is the best analysis they get on most podcasts.

Can you Imagine what it would be like if the Lakers would be doing what the Bucks are doing? I can only imagine the Headline on ESPN Everyday:

-"Here is why the 2019 Lakers are better than the Dream Team"
-"Should the NBA cancel the playoffs and just give the Lakers the Title?
-"Are we sure Lebron has enough help? They have already lost 6 games this year. The Lakers should trade a 2nd Round pick for Booker"
-"Is Kuzma already better than Prime Bird and and Dirk?"

Caught a few minutes of Doug Russell interviewing Lori Nickel of the MJS on her story on Suki Hobson. After some interesting discussion about Suki and her profound impact on the team, Doug asks Lori to talk about Suki’s background, nationality, how she got the job, etc. Lori then tells Doug: “I don’t know any of that, the Bucks didn’t allow me to interview her”

Just about drove my car off the road with that line. It’s all wrong on so many levels. 8-)

They didn't allow Lori to interview Suki? But they allow Lori to interview a bunch a lot of players about Suki.

Great team on the court, the rest of the organization....imbeciles.

And that's only one half of it. If you're the journalist, don't you learn about your subject from other people in her past or reach out to them? Russell asked the question about her (Suki's) personal background and Lori goes "I don't know anything about that". How do you write a big feature on someone and not get some basic research on their personal life, even if the subject won't talk with you.

Ugh.

Did Suki want to actually do an interview or was she telling the Bucks to block it for her? Basically everyone has been interviewed so why would the one sticking point be her?

Considering her praise for the article I can't imagine she was the one blocking an interview

Yeah that's weird. I know her boss has been interviewed before at some conference.

I might have missed it, but I'm surprised there's not more discussion of how the Bucks are now worth a billion more than what Lasry and Edens paid just 6 short years ago...

https://www.hoopsrumors.com/2020/02/forbes-releases-2020-nba-franchise-valuations.html

Highlights

- Forbes estimates the current value as $1.58 billion
- Herb Kohl sold the Bucks in 2014 for $550 million
- Bucks now rank 19th out of 30 NBA teams
- Raptors 25% jump since last year shows what a title could do for Bucks

That seems really high, all of the numbers do. I always thought LED would cash out within 10 years. Winning a championship with Giannis pre Super Max contract might be the right time.

From what I understand the Bucks are very protective of their training staff, and limit their access to certain favored reporters, if they allow access at all. They may not want obvious stuff to slip as to how they are doing things. Last year there was a small dust-up over how the special heated bench seats would be acknowledged or reported on.

Given the fact this training staff is sooo good and such a competitive advantage, I can see Wes Edens having his fingerprints on this one. From what we've learned of him, he's heavy into sports medicine and performance training advantages.

Didn’t Nehm have a feature where he was working with Suki on a balance beam or something like that?
