It turns out Boston media was right Boston did win the Dame trade. Jrue plus whatever we could have gotten from our 29 1st would undoubtedly be better than this mess.

Re: PG Portland: Loss
Dame in his return to Portland could have had the go ahead shot then the game tying shot and was snubbed on both. That probably can't be good for team chemistry.

Re: PG Portland: Loss
Our 3-point shot was in the toilet tonight. Someone can look up the numbers to how many uncontested threes we missed, but it was a fair few. Beasley's numbers are coming back to the mean on 3pt which will become an issue.
We hit those threes and we win. Also, some stupid plays drawn up in the last few possessions there. How is a Brook 3 the shot to take when down 1, and the ball never even touched Giannis' hands in that possession (who was positioned close to the basket). It was felt a bit like it was all drawn up for Dame, and if he was covered there was no plan B.

They need to blow it up and just start over.
Giannis is a malcontent now.
Dame is not the same player he was.
Khris is washed
Lopez doesnt want to play D anymore.
It's over. Trade assets now.

Even Portland understands to just take turns cooking Beas and Dame down the stretch. Playoff preview.

You don’t want Jrue back. You want the unrealistic image of Jrue that you’ve created in your mind.

Yeah and someone needs to let Doc know that Dre needs to be on the court. He lifts the energy levels. You want a spark, he's the guy.
I can this being a ' 'oc Rivers kind of season. There's just no D (after Denver looked promising)

If you want to blame Giannis for something blame him for wanting to play with Dame and thinking he was a winning player.
Should have kept Jrue and added Sexton next to him. That may have worked

It's throw it in and give it right back to Dame with momentum going up court.
Literally what they did when he hit his last game winner.
The MVP decided to.turn and dribble up court instead.
He would have gotten fouled, he wasn't running free or something. It's a better spot to be in but they're not getting a 3PA off there.
They drill and practice this, with five seconds it's Giannis coming to the ball them giving it up to one of the two guards heading up court immediately.
We're talking no dribble, touch pass.
Giannis made the decision, in the moment that him getting fouled was the best thing to do.
Just utter failure.

Dame looks a bit like Durant this year. They can still get their numbers but just don't seem to have the same impact on winning as they once did. We're still very far off the pace on both ends of the floor. Big challenges ahead.

Portland might have played their best game of the year. Giannis did some really dumb stuff in the 4th. Dame's still not hitting threes. And my favorite, the Bobby/Pat/Cam bench mob is straight up unplayable.

Well I haven't been this pissed after a Bucks loss this year. So I guess that's a good thing. It means I'm still alive.

Dame was guarded so a touch pass was completely unnecessary and reckless play design. Why have Dame inbound at all? If you want him getting the ball set multiple screens for him with beas as a backup. They were fouling no matter what so why waste time going to Giannis in the first place. Yeah Giannis was dumb but it's like blaming the lineman for fumbling after the running back fumbled.

He should know this by now. He should know this before even signing on the dotted line.
