I haven't looked at the crop of FA's, but we wont get anything special. Sure we can get a role player, but no we are unlikely to get the caliber of player that we got with the Simmons signing.

We need talent, not hope of signing talent. We have a bad team in a small market with cold weather.

It's not difficult to understand that this is not a good formula for attracting FA's.

I think Crittenton and Mo Williams would have a lot of potential. Plus you get Cap Spae
That Lakers trade would not provide cap space.
The rest leave for other reasons as well and seldom do they choose Milwaukee.
Mo Williams, Jake Voskuhl, and Dez Mason all chose Milwaukee. So you are obviously talking about somebody specific. Who did you mean? Whoever it was, they signed with the team that offered them the most money. That's what every player does. If cap space is worthless to the Bucks, then it is worthless to every team in the NBA. There is no difference or disadvantage.

And if there is no value in cap space, are you claiming that $20 million could not bring a more productive combo of players than Simmons+Gadzuric?

Ohhhh yeah Jake and Mason whoop de do. Can I give them back?

Williams was hardly a good player when we got him. He has blossomed and I am sure Utah is kicking themselves.

Losing team. Bad weather. Small market. Not a good formula for attracting Free Agents. Again, not that hard to comprehend.

Yes, we can get a FA or 2 that is a role player and likely better than Gadz. OK. And?

I think they're pretty happy with Deron Williams

So? What does that matter?

Mo is a talent and an asset. I like Bogut better than Zaza, but I am still mad we let him go.

Mo is a combo guard that really is best suited to back up the 1 and 2. I am fairly sure they could use him.

So was the offer.

Sadly the Cavs have no one of interest to us. Just too weak of a roster outside of LBJ and an over the hill Z.

Yes, I am.

So he can't have good stats backing up 2 positions?

Get real.

What is your basis for this? Why do you not believe that FA's go to the team that offers the most money? I know that Karl Malone once signed at a discount to finish his career with one last shot at a ring, but 99.9% of FA's follow the money.

Since you're saying that these other factors play a big role, I think you owe some examples of players who passed up more money to sign for good weather.

That doesn't mean he should be a bench player. Mo is a starter in this league. Period.

and the mighty Quinn from Miami took him to the hole with ease........sounds like the Bucks are about to play alot more man on man defense, this will be quite interesting, we'll see what the great Mo Williams is made of.

We all know both Mo and Redd are poor defenders. That's why one of them should be moved for a defensive upgrade. I think it should be Redd, but I can understand why others think it should be Mo.

I can't believe Kevin Martin has the same stats as Redd does. Look how much cheaper he is. :banghead:
